Orianna's POV
I smile as I watch Brandon help Zoe up on his bike even thou her feet are too short and can't reach the peddlers.
I'm so happy that I managed to save up enough money to redo our apartment's lease and had enough money left to get Brandon the bike that I'd promised him. The summer holidays will be over soon and I want him to at least have some fun before the schools open up, even though I'm busy most of the time.
I definitely have to get Zoe something to make up for Brandon's bike. She was mad when she found out that I'd only gotten a bike for Brandon. But thank heavens Brandon has them taking turns on the bike to divert her mind from being mad at me.
I take in a deep breath enjoying the beautiful summer's day, trying to make all the fatigue from my previous shift go away.
I shift in my spot on the park's bench and try getting comfortable.
My phone rings and I dig into my purse to get it.
"Owww.." I whine when I cut myself with zipper, but thankfully it's a small cut and not antthing big enough for me to bleed.
"Hello." I answer.
"Hello." Says a male voice through the phone, I pull the phone away to see the caller ID.
It's Quillon's call, but not his voice.
"Who is this?" Did his phone maybe get stolen?
"Its-" There's shuffling on the other side of the phone and some muffled words.
"Hey, Ana." I hear Quillon's voice.
"Hey, who was that?"
"It was Elijah, I'm sorry about that. How are you and the kids doing?"
"We're alright, though Zoe isn't talking to me because I bought Brandon a bike and not her." I laugh.
"That little drama queen." He chuckles. "Are you guys home?"
"No. I took them to the park that's near our place so Brandon could try out his new bike and Zoe could play on the slides."
"Oh, I hope you guys don't mind having some company."
"Not at all." I smile and watch as Zoe's tiny form races towards me.
"Yana. Come push me." She energetically pulls my hand.
"Push you where?- Quillon, I'll talk to you lat-"
"You talk to Eon? I wan talk to Eon too." She lifts her hand up.
"Zoe wants to talk to you."
"Sure, give her the phone."
"Eon." She calls into the phone. "She push me on swing."
She smiles and nods. "See you." She smiles and shoves the phone into my hand.
"Come, Yana." She pulls me.
"I'm coming." I pick my purse and water bottle up before following her to wherever she's dragging me to.
"I want to sit." She points to the swings, lifting her hands up for me to lift her into it.
I look around and see Brandon circling the play ground on his bike.
I sling the strap of my purse over my head so it's almost a crisscross on me.
"Okay, come here." I lift her up and place her in the swing seat.
I make sure she's seated properly before giving her a light push and she lets out a loud squeal.
