Prologue

The seven remaining members of the New Directions knew where they were. They knew what had happened the night before. They knew Brittany, Rachel, Puck, Kurt, Finn, and Mike were all dead. What they didn't know was when they fell asleep. They also couldn't remember who they were targetting in the twisted game, or even who was targetting them. The absolute worst thing they couldn't remember was how their friends had even died in the first place. They had no memory of the game, which only hurt them more.

"I'm out of here. I don't know how our friends are all dead, but I don't plan on finding out," Mercedes announced as she stood up.

"Guys, look what I just found," Sam grinned as he walked in holding a board game.

"Why does that look so familiar?" Tina asked.

"No idea, but I feel the need to play it," Quinn answered as Artie opened the box, grabbing the rules as Blaine pulled the board out.

"Why are our faces on this? And why does that question sound familiar?" Blaine whispered, slightly scared.

"Everyone who died is on there too, but in black and white," Sam stated, looking confused.

"Okay, what do the rules say to do?" Mercedes asked Artie.

"Your teacher is dead. Six of your friends are dead. Your substitute is dead. Six of you will follow. Each round, you must vote on who you wish to die. The person with the most votes will instantly die. Good luck," Artie read.

"I'm so scared," Santana joked, "How can a game kill people? Let's just play," she suggested.

"I really don't think we should," Quinn sighed before a thud came from the bathroom attached to Brittany's bedroom. Everyone froze.

"So does that thud... I'll go check it out," Mercedes said before making her way to the bathroom door.

"Mercedes, you don't have to," Sam stated. Mercedes ignored him and put her hand on the doorknob, slowly turning the handle. Everyone was panicking inside as the doorknob kept turning, before Mercedes finally opened the door and screamed. They all ran to the door and looked inside, seeing Holly's dead body on the floor.

"Oh my god," Blaine whispered.

"How long has she been here?" Sam asked.

"You should know! You're the one who found the game!" Artie yelled.

"Yeah, and you opened it, Wheels," Santana fired.

"You were fine playing it, maybe you knew something," Blaine suggested.

"Yeah, but you pulled the board out! What if you cursed us?" Tina asked.

"You're the one who said it looked familiar," Quinn pointed out.

"Oh, don't act all innocent, Quinn! You told us not to play it, maybe you regret something!" Mercedes stated.

"You opened the door and found Miss Holliday's body. And you were about to leave before I brought the game in. You're not so innocent," Sam replied.

"Which brings me back to my point of how YOU brought the game to us," Artie repeated.

"Vote," a deep voice whispered overhead, causing everyone to scream.

"How are we supposed to do that?" Tina asked.

"The pen and stack of paper in the hall. You may not discuss votes until after the round is over," the voice answered.

Quinn, who was first to vote, decided to vote Tina, finding her suspicious. Mercedes voted Sam, assuming he would be coming after her. Tina also voted Sam, thinking he was guilty for bringing the board in. Santana voted Artie, finding it suspicious that he blamed Sam so quickly. Sam voted Tina, assuming Quinn had done the same. Blaine voted Santana, thinking she was guilty for suggesting they play the game. Artie voted for Sam, figuring he had cursed them by bringing the game to them.

"With one vote each... Santana and Artie. With two votes... Tina. With three votes, and dead-" the voice began before Sam dropped dead.

"NO!" Quinn screamed, tears filling her eyes, "How could you?!" She glared at her friends.
