New Years Short Story

You: Oh look it's another year I'm going to end without kissing someone at midnight

Your mom: What do you mean all the family kiss and hug each other at New Years

You: Noo I mean like I don't have a guy to kiss, and by guy I mean someone I'm not related to!

Y/m: Hey you never know, a Prince Charming may come and sweep you off your feet by tonight

You: How? We know everyone who's coming.

It's New Years Eve and it's your family's turn to host the party this year. The whole of your moms side of the family's coming. So it's gonna be a pretty big party since your mom has 4 sisters and 2 brothers and they have 25 'kids' between them. 18 of them are all 20/21 which is the same age as you, only your 21 not 20. Even though the majority of the family are all old enough to go out themselves for New Years it's a family tradition that everyone goes to the family party being held that year. You, your mom and dad are getting the house ready like preparing food ect. You check your phone and see you have a text from your cousin Sean.

Hey (Y/n) looking forward to tonight, is it alright if I bring my bro Justin?

You: Mom, Sean's just asked if he can bring a friend tonight

Y/m: Sure

You text Sean back

Hey Sean,
Yeah my mom said that's fine, see you later

You put your phone down and carry on helping.

-4 hours later-

Everything is all done and you're upstairs getting ready for tonight. You come down the stairs ready just as your dad opens the door to Sean, your auntie and uncle and Sean's friend, Justin. You notice Justin looking at you and smiling, you had to admit he was hot. You smile back at him and greet them as you reach the bottom of the stairs.

You: Sean!
You and Sean are really close, you're the closest in age out of all your cousins so you grew up together. Your basically like brother and sister and you've made sure you kept your bond tight.
Sean: (y/n)!
You give Sean a big hug, he wraps his arms around you and lifts you up. You giggle and Sean puts you down.
Sean: Oh (y/n) this is Justin
Justin smiles at you
Justin: Hello Beautiful
You smile at him cutely
You: Hey
Sean: Bro, wtf?
Justin: What? If a girls beautiful I'll tell her
Sean: Yeah but she's like my sister man
You blush as your cousin an his ridiculously hot friend bicker
You: Hey Sean it's okay, c'mon lets get you two a drink. Beer?
They stop and follow you as you walk to the kitchen
Both of them: Please
You get them both a bottle of beer, talk to them for a while, and get to know Justin while other guests arrive.

You greet the other guests when they arrive but spend the majority of the night talking to Justin. You could listen to him talk all night, he's so interesting and he sounds like he's a really sweet guy.

You: So it's just you and your mom?
Justin: Well it was until I was about 15, my dad remarried and had a baby with his new wife.
You: Oh, so you don't see your dad or his family then?
Justin: Oh yeah I do, all the time actually. I'm really close to Jaz and Jaxo.
You look at him confused
Justin: Oh those are the kids, Jazmyns the oldest and then there's Jaxon who's a year younger than her. Even though they're only technically my half brother and sister I treat them as if they're fully blood related to me. Here this is them..
Justin gets his phone out and presses the 'home' button on his iphone 6.
His lockscreen is a picture of him with a little girl and a little boy.
You: Awwh oh my gosh they're adorable!
Justin smirks
Justin: Thanks, so do you have any?
You: Yeah, I have an older brother, He's around...somewhere
You giggle as you quickly scan the crowd of people in your house.
Justin drinks his beer not taking his eyes off you as you do.
You: I thought a sweet guy like you would wanna spend New Year's Eve with your family or girlfriend
Justin: Oh my moms gone on vacation with her friends, she does it every year...and I er don't have a girl.
Justin looks into your eyes, you smile
You: Really?
Justin: Mm, so..er..what about you?
You: Nope, yet another year of not being kissed at midnight! Woo-hoo!
Your sarcasm makes Justin smirk cutely, he leans close to you and whispers in your ear.
Justin*whispering*: Don't be so sure
He walks to the kitchen with his empty bottle and you're smiling like an idiot watching him. Sean sees you smiling and comes over as Justin's coming back over to you with another beer.
Sean: Hey man
Justin: Hey
Sean*to you*: What are you so smiley about?
You look at Justin who's already smiling
You: Oh nothing
Sean: C'mon it's me, you can tell me anything
You: Let's just say tonight I might actually do my New Years resolution
Sean: But it's New Year's Eve?
You: Yeah but it's still the same year I made it up to now
Sean*confused*: Okay..?
Sean*to Justin*: Oh bro, there's a really hot girl over there if you wanna kiss her at midnight. She's one of my cousins friends.
Justin smirks at you
Justin: Nah that's okay man
Sean: You don't wanna kiss anyone at midnight?!
Justin: Yeah yeah I am
Sean: Who?
Y/m*shouting over the music*: Sean?
Sean: Be right back
You: Take your time!
You check your watch it's 11:55pm
You: Ooh 5 mins till midnight!
Justin licks his pinky plump lips
Justin: Yeah
You: Would you excuse me for 1 minute
Justin: Sure!
You quickly go to the nearest bathroom and fix your hair and make up you come back out to Justin at 11:59
You: Hey
Justin: There you are, I was wondering where you'd got to
Your mom turn on the TV as the 10 second countdown starts
Everyone: 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...
Before you could reach one Justin gently grabs your waist, pulls you to him and kisses you with tongue. You wrap your arms around his neck and you kiss him back with tongues while everyone else cheers and celebrates the start of the New Year with hugs and kisses. You break from the kiss with Justin.
Justin: Happy New Year beautiful, I didn't wanna end the new year without kissing you so I thought I'll end the year and start the year kissing you
You giggle
You: Happy New Year and well I'm not complaining
Sean comes over, picks you up and spins you around while hugging you.
Sean: Happy New Year you!
You: Happy New Year Seany
Justin watches you and Sean, Sean puts you down and you get back next to Justin. He puts his arm around your back.
Sean: So who did you end up kissing bro?
Justin looks at you, you look back at him then Sean.
You: Me
Before Sean could react your mom, dad and grandma come over and wished all of you a Happy New Year.
You could tell by Sean's face that he wasn't finished with our conversation.
