   "Woah there, be careful."

   "Eren, I can stand fine."

Eren had one hand on Mikasa's waist and the other holding her hand, supporting her body as best as he could as the girl tried to stand up for the first time since before she gave birth to her daughter.

It didn't feel much different in Mikasa's opinion. Her legs felt a little sore, and she was a little wobbly at first, but it didn't hurt as much as she had anticipated, a relief to Mikasa who was worried about not being able to get around without Eren's help, despite having a midwife.

Eren on the other hand, was insanely worried. The boy was mortified of anything happening to Mikasa or Carla while he was away. He knew Mikasa was strong and capable of fending for herself and their daughter, but thoughts of the worst possible scenarios loomed through his mind as to what could happen to his newfound family that were sure to keep him awake during nights where he couldn't be near his girls.

He supposed that it was just a second nature to him. He and Mikasa both had to think a few steps ahead in their line of work, so he chocked it up to the mindset that had been forced upon him over the past almost two years.

She didn't want to admit it, but Mikasa absolutely dreaded Eren leaving so soon as well. She understood that he had to, which is exactly why she didn't say anything. Eren had successfully slain multiple Titans on his own, but the thought of him dying during battle with barely even knowing his daughter terrified her to her very core.  Mikasa also felt a sense of security with Eren nearby, which wasn't very uncommon for her, but she felt it stronger than ever now. She, Eren, and Hange blamed it on her uncontrollable hormones that were only natural after childbirth, deciding not to dwell on it for long, especially not on a day like this.

She would miss the feeling of Eren wrapping his arm around her back, or the small kisses that he would plant on her cheek. He had been showing off a more gentle and compassionate side to him ever since their relationship started, and even more throughout the pregnancy, so it pained her to know that she could have to wait as long as a few months to see that side of him again, if it was even still there by the time he returned. The two were never separated for more than a few days, so not being able to hear Eren's soothing voice or the feeling of his rough, scarred hand that she adored, intertwined with hers brought her great sadness, a feeling that she certainly didn't like whenever she had just witnessed the greatest moment of her life only hours ago.

Mikasa took slow, easy steps as she made her way to the door, not wanting to fall down and injure herself. She was walking normally for the most part, a slight wobble in her legs keeping her from being completely dependable as she pushed open the door and made her way down the hallway.

"See, I'm fine, just a little wobbly from not moving for a while." Mikasa said, a teasing look on her face as she glared at Eren from over her shoulder. Eren rolled his eyes and smiled,

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, you're super human."

   Mikasa scoffed,

   "I am not super human."

"Tell that to your sixty five titan kills." Eren replied off handedly, earning a huff from Mikasa. She walked over to the small loveseat in the middle of the living room, her legs feeling a bit tired, and sat down, deciding to give her legs a rest as to not overdo her recovery. It didn't take long for Eren to sit down next to her, subconsciously looping an arm around her waist and pulling her closer to him. Mikasa absolutely loved it whenever he did that and moved in closer, burying her face into Eren's chest and sighing, a feeling of relaxation overcoming her.
