Bernard and I started walking towards the kitchen. We held hands the entire way. It felt nice being close to someone, it made me feel very peaceful.
"Look who decided to finally come on down here!" Bernard's mom exclaimed. "Did you two decide on what we're having for dinner yet?"
I looked up at Bernard and he smiled. "I don't know, did we figure out what we wanted for dinner yet, Blake?"
I blushed a little and looked over at Bernard's mom. "I-I, spaghetti with meatballs and mushrooms?" I questioned very nervously.
"Yes! Mom, please! That's like my favorite meal ever! Could we have some cheesy garlic bread with it too?" Bernard sounded so excited to be eating my favorite meal. I let go of his hand and hugged him tightly. He hugged me back and kissed the top of my head which made me tighten my grip around him.
"Blake, you're too cute, I love you!"
I quickly let go and looked into Bernard'd eyes. They were sparkling like the first few stars that light up the sky at night.
"Y-you, you l-love me?"
"I, erm, I mean, yeah... why wouldn't I? You're literally the most amazing person I've ever met!"
My whole face turned bright red. "I love you too!"
"Awwwwww, oh my god, that's soooooo cute!" Molly exclaimed.
Bernard and I were both blushing at this point, but it felt right and I was happy.
Bernard grabbed my hand and lead me into the living room. We sat on the couch to watch some T.V.
"So, Blakey, what do you like to watch?"
I had to think about that for a moment. I don't really watch too much T.V. "I like to watch, Catfish. It's my favorite show."
Bernard smiled and replied, "I like that show too!"
I smiled back at him and then he turned, Catfish on for us to watch.
An hour or so went by. Bernard and I were cuddling on the couch and holding hands. I felt like I could just fall asleep laying in his arms.
"Blake, Bernard, dinner!" Bernard's mom shouted.
We both slowly got up from the couch and headed into the kitchen.
"Go ahead and make your plates, I have the table set up for all of us to eat together."
We all made our plates and began eating. It was so nice to be eating dinner as an actual family.
"You two should recreate that really cute scene from, The Lady and the Tramp!" Molly suggested.
Bernard looked over at me, smiled, and then nodded in agreement.
I blushed and crouched down in my seat a little. My stomach filled with butterflies. "Oh, okay." I manged to choke out nervously.
Bernard laughed to himself, grabbed a noodle, and handed me the other end. Molly was giggling and their mom chimed in, laughing and clapping.
We got to the very end of the noodle and our lips touched. We stared into each other's eyes.
That's the exact moment that I knew, I truly did love him.
