New Companions

Chapter 4: The Noise

It's been three months since I got here and we got three new greeny's. I haven't seen that boy in ever since he saved my life, I wanted to know his name, I wanted to know what he looked like, I wanted to know him. But I doubt that would ever happen, 'Am I falling in love with him? No it's impossible, what are you thinking Y/n! you don't even know him' 

I got up from my hammock and decided to go for a stroll in the deadheads, I put on my jacket and my boots and started walking. As I walked around, I heard the snap of a twig "Who's there?!" I shouted. I was given no response so I kept walking. About fifteen minutes into my walk I heard a beautiful melody played by...a flute? 'I didn't know we had instruments in the glade?' "Hello? You can come out now, it isn't funny anymore" The noise just kept getting louder, which meant I was getting closer to the source. I was close to finding the noise when Newt shouted "Y/n, where are you?!" I turned around and all of a sudden the melody stopped.

I started walking to where I heard Newt call for me, "Good morning Y/n, I was just reminding you that the bonfire is later tonight."Newt reminded me "Okay, thanks" i replied "c'mon love, let's go eat some breakfast" I turned to face the deadheads and I saw a shadow fly by. I quickly turned back to Newt and nodded my head.

*Newts POV*

We made our way to breakfast  and I couldn't help but notice Y/n was a little off this morning. She was a little on edge but I figured if I asked it would only make matters worse. 

After breakfast Y/n started walking to the gardens to get started on today's work.

*Y/n POV*

I started walking to the gardens to get started on today's work. All of a sudden I heard the same melody that I heard earlier. I bolted into the deadheads, determined to find the source. When I finally reached the source I realized that I was at the same place I was when I fell and the mysterious boy caught me. Suddenly the music stopped, I spun around only to come face to face with Minho. "AHHHHHHHHH" he screamed like a little girl "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" I questioned. "I heard something like a flute" he replied "Wait, you heard it too?!" I whispered, he nodded.

We started jogging back to the glade, so that we could tell the others what we heard. "Newt! Thomas!" I exclaimed 

*time skip* after they explained what they heard

"Well if either one of you hear it again come to us right away" Newt spoke, Me and Minho nodded. "You guys should probably take the rest of the day off" Newt said. 

Minho and I started walking towards his hammock, after a few minutes of just talking I decided to get up and go investigate a little. I started walking away when Minho called after me "Where the shuck are you going?" "I'm going to investigate a little, wanna come?" I turned to face him only to see that he already went back to sleep.
