???'s POV
"C'mon freshman! I know you can dig a ball correctly, I've seen you do it many times before!"
I groaned inwardly as I once again positioned myself in the middle back section of the volleyball court.
Coach tossed the black and white ball into the air over her hitting arm and spiked it down a few feet away from me.
I dove for it, my arms outstretched in a passing position, and bumped it up to her.
A perfect pass.
"See? Was that too hard?"
Yes, because I was not meant to be a back row player and you know this.
Despite my bitter thoughts, I flashed her a smile and nodded, walking to the back of the line.
The drill ended with a high pitched squeal of Coach's whistle and the team rushed over, awaiting our next drill.
"Alright, you freshmen did a good today and pushed yourselves really hard, but you have two suicides for not helping varsity clean up the gym after the game."
The small group of eleven groaned around me as we all trudged to the end line.
Two suicides and one water bottle later, practice was dismissed.
I sighed with relief and slung my hoodie over my arms.
After zipping it up, I grab my backpack and walk out into the chilly air.
Mom greets me with a warm smile as I plop into the passenger seat, carelessly tossing my bag into the back.
"How was practice?"
"Same old same old." I muttered, wiping the sweat off my forehead.
"Tough?" She asked, pulling out of the parking lot.
I nodded, sighing out of exhaustion. "Yeah. Two suicides at the beginning and end of practice."
"I'm sorry. How was class?"
"Boring. There was another fight in the hallway today."
"Really? Did you see it?"
I shook my head, staring at the trees and buildings as they sped by.
"No, someone told me about it."
"That's interesting. Are you tired?"
I nodded slowly, putting my head in the palm of my hand. "Yeah. I'm glad the day is over."
My mom gave me a small smile and squeezed my clammy hand as she pulled into the driveway.
I trudged into the house and tossed my bag on the bench, plodding up the stairs and into my dark room.
My volleyball shoes were carelessly tossed to the corner of my room as I changed out of my sweat soaked practice jersey and into a t-shirt and shorts.
The charm bracelet jingled as I picked it up from my desk and plopped into my bed.
I laid there for a bit, looking through all the charms until I came across one specific charm.
A pencil.
A pretty normal charm on a pretty basic bracelet, but it held more meaning than just a place holder on the chain.
I softly ran my finger across the yellow-ish metal and grinned slightly as my room faded away, revealing a hallway with doors on either side.
The all too familiar message flashed in the corner of my eye as I made my way down the hall.
Welcome Bloxiegirl123 to Wattpad Mansion, we hope you enjoy your stay.
I grinned widely as I stopped in front of an all too familiar door.
The one with a pencil charm on the front, much like mine, but large enough to match the length of the door.
I grabbed the cold door knob and opened the door, ready to start a new chapter.
