-A/N-  Hello again, quick state of the author address: The three stories in my "Fucking Amazing" Haven't been updated in a while, so I've run out of content to read truly. Luckily I got my hands on "Speaker of The Dead" so that's cool. I've not really logged on unless I've had an update to do... Mainly because of the number of comments and messages to respond to are down considerably. Part of the job I assume. Love And Desire have crept towards 16k... I worry that not writing Skase content and smut will lose that to the avg 100 views per part. But I just can't write Skase lol. It just goes against what I stand for. I'll have to get over it.

-Narrator- (Temporary, I promise)
No one knew what the fuck to do, Ryder stood, shocked, as did Chase, flustered, Marshall just looked down at his paws, Rocky and Conor stood out of the sight of the trio but had heard it all. Rocky said nothing, did nothing. Conor just tried to think this all out in his head. What does this mean for their future?

-Chase's POV-
Shit. Shit Shit SHIT man. I mean, I can still play it off like a slip-up, They didn't know the previous night's events,  so I could just say I let my tongue slip. Yeah, yeah I can do that.

"Ryder! sorry I just didn't think it wa-" I tried to explain myself, but I was cut off by news that ruined any chance I had at getting out of it.

"Chase... does this mean, you actually did something to Rocky last night?" The question came slow, Ryder pondering over every word, making sure not to get too specific.

"He told you?" I asked, somewhat angrily, somewhat in disbelief, the mongrel hadn't spoken to anyone but Conor since his arrival, and now he decides to open his mouth?

"No, Marshall did." I shot a glare at Marshall, which made him recoil a little.

"I'm sorry, I saw what happened and then Rocky said he wanted to leave, they can't Chase, look at them, their injured and malnourished, they can't go anywhere." He was right. As much as I hated to admit it. The two in question had now entered the room, I knew they heard.  Just from the looks on their faces.

-Ryder's POV-
Oh Jeez. This isn't gonna go smoothly, is it?

"Why?" Was all I could really ask. I didn't think I'd get an answer.

"because I'm not like him." Came the tiniest whisper, from Conor's arm. It was Rocky, learning to use his voice in front of us. I could've sworn I heard a growl from Chase. It was pretty obvious what he meant, right? I needed to make sure.

"What does he mean Chase? How is he any different from you?" I knew the answer, I just wanted to see if he admitted to it.

He stammered over his words "H-h-he's not, he's just erm... he's just new is all." I don't think anyone in the room believed him. His actions just didn't line up.

"Chase, could I speak with you alone?" Was all I said, beckoning to the elevator.

"Anything you say to me can be heard by everyone here." He said another surprise.

"Why would you hurt the poor pup like that, Marshall said you were standing on his cast!" I nearly yelled, but remembering Skye still sleeping I took a breath.

"Shouldn't we get a say in whether or not a new person and a new pup live with us, especially a stupid mixed-breed!" He immediately retorted, making his problem clear. There were audible gasps in the room. It's all out in the open now, isn't it?

"Well Chase, whether you like it or not they're staying, so you'll have to get over this... whatever this is... If you need help Ryder and I are here, and I'm sure we could get a prof-" Marshall tried to plead a case.

"Stuff it, Marshall... You ratted me out. I had them gone."

-Marshall's POV-

I did rat him out but wasn't it the right thing to do, Chase is my best friend yes... but they can't go back out on the streets. Ryder eventually had enough and convinced Chase to go talk privately. I turned to leave, just go away for a while and think it all through, Did I even want them here, permanently? Just before I left the room I heard an all to unfamiliar voice, but far more confident, as if he wanted to talk to me.

"Thank you for sticking up for me Marshall." I turned to see a smiling mix, now his tail slightly elevated trying to get over to me. Once he did he embraced me, in a genuine hug, I was surprised that he opened up after all that had gone down in the past hour, but I'm glad he will talk to me, or at least make the attempt.

-Conor's POV-
Jeez, it really is the worst case for us, isn't it? At least the others don't share Chase's and my Father's view on Rocky... then we'd really be in for it. I think Ryder will change Chase over. Or at least I hope he can. I saw Rocky hug Marshall, Marshall looked at me while it happened, I just smiled. Skye had slept through this whole thing huh. Interesting.

This couldn't have come out at a worse time, tomorrow, Rocky and I were supposed to be officially inducted into the group. Ryder was built Rocky's truck/house combo, and I had programmed it, while also updating a lot of the Lookouts coding and defenses and whatnot. I didn't even know I was good at coding, I just wanted something to do a while back, before Rocky, I just found a niche for it I guess, and I got Ryder to let me access the Lookout servers and stuff, I pointed out what I saw, and he gave me the go-ahead to do anything I wanted to.

He told me it usually took him days to repair a vehicle, forget building one from scratch. It took us just a few hours. While I'm not great at Mechanics I had the inner workings of the code done soon enough. I tried not to be distracted by the morning's events while I worked on it. It wasn't supposed to be ready until well after the ceremonies, but now we could unveil it at the same time.  We had skipped Lunch once we realized what pace we were carrying with the build, and approaching dinner time Ryder told me about his conversation with Chase, and how sorry he was.

What came after frightened me a little, Chase had apologized, profusely, but Ryder had thought he was putting it on to not be punished. We agreed to talk about it more over dinner at a restaurant that Ryder wanted me to try, he reassured me that Chase and Rocky would be kept separated at all times and that Marshall wouldn't leave Rocky until we got back, upon his own suggestion. Rocky had agreed to, which was great. At least we're kind of starting to make this place home.
