Midoriya was heart broken when he found out he was quirkless, it was like being told you would never have the same abilities that was considered 'Normal'. Inko midoriya, his loving mother, tried to calm him and reassure him it'll be alright. She was also trying to slowly tell him he can't become a hero like his dream, and Izuku knew that. And it broke him more. He felt, if he was always nice to bakugo. Then he can atleast FEEL like a hero. And now, he was standing on a roof. Is this what being a hero feels like? And do hero's drive someone to their soon to be death? Izuku will survive if he's lucky, but he's unhealthy and damaged. He can't survive a fall this big, can he?
