THIRD PERSON.
"Don't you dare," Kai looked at Corbyn as he gave her a smile, picking up one of the silly string cans in the store they were in, "Corbyn if you buy that I'm not getting back in the car with you."
"Who else will you get in a car with? A cop to take you home?" Corbyn asked as she rolled her eyes, "What about spray paint? We can vandalise a wall."
"We are not vandalising anything," Kai told him, grabbing his hand and pulling him away from the aisle, "we only do that in Lakeside."
"You're no fun." He sighed, placing his hand on her lower back as they made their way down the snacks aisle, "What did we come in here for anyway?"
"Food, drinks, essentials-"
"Condoms." Corbyn interrupted her as she paused to look at him, watching him burst into laughter, "I'm joking i'm joking, sorry that coffee I had this morning is taking a toll on me."
She shook her head, rolling her eyes and smiling as they picked out a few snacks to take with them in the car as they still had a bit of a journey to go before reaching Ohio. Corbyn grabbed them both a drink each before seeing a poster and stopping to read it, his eyes widening as he looked at the girl to the right.
"Uh Kai," Corbyn said, "I didn't know you've been identified as missing."
"Have I?" She asked, looking at him as he gestured to the poster on the wall, "I left my dad a note though."
"The friend group-"
"Old friend group."
"Ok, the old friend group could've done it?" He furrowed his eyebrows as she shrugged but shook her head, a worried look appearing on her face, "Don't worry about it."
Kai looked at him as he shrugged, ripping the piece of paper off the wall and scrunching it up before throwing it in the trash beside him, walking away from the aisle they were down as Kai quickly followed him, "Are you stupid?"
"That was actually the smartest idea I've had in a while," Corbyn replied, feeling pretty proud of himself as he turned to face her, "We're about to go pay, if anyone saw that poster and then saw you, we'd both be done for."
"Corbyn there are cameras in this store." She folded her arms as he shrugged, "I'm never coming on a road trip with you again."
"Didn't ask," He smiled, walking over to the cashier as he paid for their items before they gathered their things into one bag and quickly left the store, stopping beside one of the benches placed outside.
"I don't like how stubborn you are sometimes." Corbyn told the girl as she sat down at the bench, watching him reorganise the snacks in their bag, "You don't always need to be right."
"I'm not always right," Kai replied as he sat down beside her, "I was trying to explain that no matter what you did with that poster, someone will know it's me."
"And that's why we don't spend more than two days in each state." The boy raised his eyebrows, pointing at her as she nodded and pushed his finger away from her.
"Rude to point."
"Didn't ask," he mumbled, opening his drink and taking a sip before letting out a sigh and looking at her, "Can I kiss you?"
"No I'm ok," she replied as his smile dropped, "You cannot understand sarcasm can you."
"You could've just said yes instead of being difficult," he shrugged.
"If you're going to keep criticising everything I do I will not speak to you for the rest of the trip," She explained as he watched her, quickly growing impatient with with she was saying, "Just let me say what I need to say, stop getting annoyed at me."
"You done?"
"No I'm not. Everyday since we started this you have been annoying me with you stupid choice of words and stupid decisions and it's really starting to get on my nerves," she continued as he rolled his eyes, "You're not listening are you?"
"No I'm just waiting for my kiss," he shrugged as the girl looked away from him, "Kaiii please I even asked nicely."
"You didn't listen to my rant."
"I did and I'll be less annoying and stupid, promise," He smiled as she turned back to face him, giving him a nod, "Now may I please kiss you?"
"Since you asked nicely, yes." Kai said, the pair leaning in to kiss one another until Kai had pulled away last second and flashed him a smile, getting up and running over to the car.
"Kai!" He yelled out, getting up and grabbing the bag before walking after her, "Don't tease me."
"I don't know what you're talking about." She shrugged, turning around to face him as he shook his head and placed his hands on her waist, giving her a short but passionate kiss before pulling away and giving her a smile.
"Thanks that's all I wanted," Corbyn said, opening the car door for her before walking around to the drivers side.
