Chapter 21

The Beginning

Y/n POV:

Abyss.

Was what I feared.

Inanimate objects.

Was all I saw.

Nothing. I couldn't do anything.

As Usual.

I was staring at the road ahead as PJ drove to school. Glancing at me from time to time to make sure I'm still living and breathing. With a sudden halt of the car. I bumped my head into the headboard.

"Y/n"

I froze from his voice. He.. Never called me in that voice before. I turned to him to see his face in frustration and concern. My stoic mask fell when I saw his eyes. Slowly, I reached for his cheeks and wiped it.

He leaned into my touch and held my hand. My lips pursed as tears fell from my eyes. He pulled me into a hug as I sighed in his chest. Possibly dropping the title Fearless at this point.

"I was supposed to be so strong.." My voice quivered. "Why am I so weak.." I buried my face to his chest as his hug tightens.

"That's what makes you human Y/n-"

"No! I'm not human! I will never be!" I punched his chest as he kept stroking my hair. "I was supposed to be the star.. But I turned to a painful flame.. Fucking..." I wrapped around his chest and shaking. I couldn't take it.

"She did this for herself.." I muttered. "Why is she so selfish.. Won't she know that many will miss her if she's gone? I will miss her." Frustrated, I pulled my hair as PJ grabbed both my hand and kissed it. Somehow, it calmed me down.

"PJ I.."

"Y/n," he called and turned to me as he caresses my s/c cheeks. "What do you think you should do?"

Before I could answer, a streak of lightning bolt striked to where we were going. I widened my eyes.

"P..PJ.." I couldnt find the words as PJ let go of me and stepped on the gas. Driving to our school, he held my hand. I couldn't bear it.

As we are nearing the school, another one strikes. But a f/c barrier stopped it from hitting. PJ beeped his horn as the gate opened. With our friends waiting. Before I could open the door he grabbed my hand.

"Y/n.. I know that your powers are limited and cursed but.." another lightning hit the barrier as the school shuddered. He turned my eyes at his full of determination. Something the monsters took upon on.

"You're strong. You have to help your sister.." I gulped and looked away. "You have to help yourself.. With uncovering the past. Your past." I teared up.

Undyne banged at the car window. "PJ hurry the fuck up!"

PJ sighed. "I'm not asking for anything," he kissed my forehead as he wiped a tear that rolled down my cheek. "Please be safe. I'll protect you in any way. Remember that time you stood up? You were,"

His eyes glowed magenta hue as the floating blob on his head started to swirl.

"Very strong."

Teachers rushed at us and Fresh walked beside me. Mr Nightmare, Mr Error and Ink, Mr Dream and Mr Genos was there. Ready for battle in full pursuit. My friends was readying their magic, chanting spells and sharpening their weapons. Even my human schoolmates are preparing.

"Y/n." I turned to Ms Muffet. Her hair was tied back as her puffy dress was replaced with a loose violet dress. Spiders crawled beneath her.
