Second Point of View

You knew that he had seen you there. The way his slightly slumped over figure suddenly straightened in alert, eyes swimming with an unknown emotion you just couldn't describe, then a look of disbelief followed by a small scoff leaving his lips, and the light furrow of his eyebrows evident from afar.

Even if he was a great distance away from you, you could see it all. The same thing could be said about him. He saw how your eyes widened in surprise and then to guilt, teeth nibbling on the bottom lip out of habit, your hands frantically moving in an exaggerated way trying to defend yourself but you couldn't. You knew you couldn't.

The urge to approach him and explain the situation was constantly on your mind but you knew that he would only avoid you. In all honesty, you only did what you did because you were starting to get lonely, wanting to feel some form of love and it seemed to be the only way as Tamaki was always busy. Even so, that happiness didn't last long when you were caught red handed.

The last thing you saw was him trying to somehow escape his duties but the reminder that he was currently working made him stop in his tracks. You could tell by the way his legs, that so badly shook,  struggled to continue walking forward.

In the end, he continued to walk, but not before sending you one last look of hurt and placing his hood on to cover his eyes.

Your frozen body had finally moved when his figure had disappeared. You made a run for it right after, not wanting to stay a second longer in the area knowing it was only going to hurt him if he were to pass by again.

For the rest of the day, the guilt in your heart didn't subside rather it grew as the clock ticked by. You messed up big time and there was probably nothing you could do to fix your mistake.

"Few more minutes and he'll be home." you say and clench your jaw, your hands balled into fists. You had prepared a last minute explanation, hoping (miraculously) that everything was going to be alright but at the back of your head, a small voice was telling you that you were wrong.

Snap out of it, Y/n! Tamaki will understand, right... right? You think. A click and then the sound of the door knob twisting startles you and makes your body tense up. Only the sound of a pair of feet shuffling and the door closing is heard through the growing uncomfortable silence.

You look up and show a nervous smile, slightly waving at the male standing before you. "Welcome home, Tamaki." The grim look he gives you makes the smile instantly disappear, a look of guilt replacing it.

Tamaki raises an eyebrow, letting a small sigh leave his lips before he walks into the kitchen, completely ignoring your greeting. It's only right, after all, I didn't tell him. you think before you follow his retreating figure, "h-how was your day today?"

"Splendid." He mumbles and pours some water into a cup and finishes it in a split second, placing the cup down with a bit of force he normally doesn't use around you.

"Tamaki—"

"W-Were you ever going to tell me!?" He begins to tear up, refusing to look up at you, his hand coming to cover his face. "I was! I-I really was."

"Really? because to me, it seemed like you never planned on it." His hand bangs against the counter as he looks up to glare at you, a different look on his face.

As if someone has taken over his usual shy, preserved side.

"Tamaki, please. Just listen to me, I really was going to tell you but—"

Tamaki begins to laugh before walking a bit back, a small tear escaping his eye. "I can't believe you didn't bother to take me with you to the butterfly garden much less, tell me!" He whimpers, ears burning red with embarrassment at his sudden surge of disappointment? rage? —he didn't know between the two—disappears into his usual shyness.

"I'm so sorry!" You run to him and throw your arms around his neck, holding him in a tight hug. He lets out a squeak trying to escape but your tight grip makes it impossible for him to move. "I just really wanted to go there, you know I did!" He whines, laying his head into the crook of your neck, shyly wrapping his arms around your waist.

You pull away and sheepishly grin, "listen to me, tama. I promise I'll take you when you have a free day. I only went because it reminded me of you and I really missed spending time with you," you explain, blushing a bit at your confession.

Tamaki blushes as well, feeling his ears slightly twitch before he shyly holds onto your hand and drags you to the living room. "I-I can ask for a day or two o-off and we can go see the butterflies. W-Would you like that?"

Giggling and gushing over your adorable boyfriend, you eagerly nod and peck his cheek resulting in another round of blushing. "Yes, Tamaki."
