The journey to school was fairly simple. Although Natalia lived relatively close to the school, she always took a tram, they were cheap and prevented her from being late. She walked down to the tram stop and waited whilst she fumbled around with her backpack, where she pulled out a lanyard with her Student ID, Tram Pass, meal card, and credit card. As the silver tram pulled into the stop, she took a quick step forward and tugged her Tram Pass off, swiped it onto the reader and took a seat, placing her card back onto the lanyard and placing it back over her neck. The tram was packed with students (on the inside it resembles a London bus, but with tables, like a bullet train.) laughing and chatting away with their friends. Vilhemina (Mina, as we call her) hopped onto the tram as it pulled to a stop, and back into motion again.
"Hey! What's up?"
"Nothing," Lia (Natalia) said in a bored tone, "Jeez. I really don't wanna go to Stockholm Medical."
"Why? As a matter of fact, it's one of the best in the world. You should be happy!" Exclaimed Mina, a smile on her face as she sat down opposite Natalia
"You know I have a certain distaste for anti-septic. Lord knows how I'll survive there."
"Listen - We're in Year 9! Remember, we follow British School. We don't need to go to college soon, calm down." Stated Mina wisely, tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder.
"Guess you're right." Lia (Natalia) said as she pulled out an art textbook from her black bag. She placed it down on the table and took the pen from the inside of the book out and began to annotate a section about Gwen John. "Born: 22 June 1876, Haverfordwest, Wales.
Died: 18 September 1939, Dieppe, France" she wrote in her neat handwriting underneath a picture of a lady reading a book, faded with time. After a while, the train halted to a stop. Natalia gripped her textbook and plonked it back into her bag and stepped quickly off the Tram with Mina, walking down a snowy pavement to Stockholm High School. Mina parted ways with her, as she had library duties for first and second period. Natalia walked into the school entrance and signed in. After the had put her away in the blue lockers, she walked to the first lesson of the day, Drama.
