It was the end of a long, long day. Natalia went back to her locker, sighing. Maths was hard. Like, who the hell needs to know how to solve X?
Anyways. She tapped her her locker combo. "4..9..2..7.." She muttered under her breath, tugging on the handle of the faded blue lockers. She grasped her art textbook and shoved it into her backpack, closing the locker and sitting outside of the school on one of the stairs stone steps. Natalia took a short, sharp breath of the cold afternoon air, trying to take in the beauty of the trees, the small pond opposite the school where high school sweethearts fed pigeons with left over bread from a unsatisfying lunch. Mina stumbled out of the red doors and down to the steps, where she sat down next to Lia (AN: I'm lazy asf, so Lia = Natalia)."Maths is just so...ugh!" Mina exclaimed, throwing her arms up into the air. She had always been one for dramatics. "Anyways...NYC High? The acting school?"
"Yeah," Lia replied quickly "I love acting! Remember the tram, this morning? I hate hospitals, they're so...ew."
"Lia! You love science, and doctor...stuff!" Mina said hastily, as if she didn't want Lia to act. "Please! Stay! You can't go! We have to go to college- and, and! What about our friendship? Won't you miss me?!" Mina shouted, standing up now and at the bottom of the steps facing Natalia.
"I will miss you! But, I wanna act! And dance, and sing! I love that stuff!" Natalia screamed back. People were staring now, whispers passed around like lipgloss in the girls bathroom.
"You know what? See if I care! Go to your stupid high school! I won't miss you at all!" Mina cried (not actually crying!), storming around the school to the dumping lot, probably where she would kick a poor child just trying to play football with their friends using a soda can.
