EXO's Baekhyun has come under fire for an image in EXO's latest photobook.
A post with pictures from EXO's "Exology" concert photobook on Korean website instiz gained attention from netizens, Korean web users. Netizens pointed out that EXO-K member Baekhyun's cell phone was left in one picture, with a couple's phone case that matched that of confirmed girlfriend Taeyeon of Girls' Generation.
The picture was heavily criticized for not cutting out the image of the phone; netizens accused Baekhyun of flouting his relationship by including his phone unnecessarily in a picture where he sits barefooted with fellow EXO member Chanyeol.
The initial post on Instiz focused on how it was nice to see Baekhyun using a couple phone, but netizens commented that they were offended that, while looking at the photobook, they would be reminded of Baekhyun's relationship.
Despite the apparent outrage, the top comments focused on Chanyeol's footsize in comparison to Baekhyun's rather than the phone issue.
Baekhyun and Taeyeon confirmed their relationship in July following the two spotted by Korean tabloid Dispatch.
The two SM Entertainment singers then came under fire by fans for reportedly using social media messages seemingly about their relationship with fans to actually proclaim their affection for one another. While other Girls' Generation members also confirmed relationships in 2014, Taeyeon's relationship with Baekhyun received negative responses from Korean netizens because of the alleged teasing pictures on Instagram.
The phone, deemed to be a couple phone case that both Taeyeon and Baekhyun use, inclusion in EXO's photobook reignites the harsh feelings that appeared following the revelation of the relationship.
EXO's concert booklet shared pictures behind stage during EXO's latest tour, and was released at the same time as EXO's first concert album, "Exology." The photobook includes a variety of images showing EXO preparing for their shows.
