Thomas Johnson sat down on his old chair, picking up his guitar, and strumming it to make sure it was tuned the correct way. He was tall and slender with messy dark hair, soft green eyes, and a warm smile, though he wasn't smiling. He was sitting in the living room of his house, a small but mostly tidy place with comfortable colorful furniture.
He glanced up, seeing John Johnson, his brother, and friend Harper. His brother was similar in looks, except John inherited their mother's beautiful blue eyes, and was slightly shorter then his younger brother. Harper, who was right beside John, was a kind hearted but still sometimes rebellious girl (more of a tomboy really) who had dark chocolate brown skin, long black hair, and soft and warm brown eyes. Both were in jeans and t-shirts, as was Tom, except he had a loose red flannel on top.
"You ok Tommy?" the older Johnson brother asked.
Tom shrugged, running his fingers along the strings of the guitar, rubbing his thumb fondly on the pride flag sticker at the base. "Yeah I'll be fine." He replied, strumming the strings, ready to play, and started to sing:
"When I was six years old I broke my leg
I was running from my brother and his friends
And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass I rolled down
I was younger then, take me back to when IFound my heart and broke it here
Made friends and lost them through the years
And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long, I know I've grown
But I can't wait to go home....."-•-•-
