The breathing seemed to be coming from a room, with a different hallway.

Maybe that's where they needed to go.

But just as they took one step forward, the doors slowly closed shut. Then the breathing could be heard again, this time coming from their left side. Again, they began to follow it, slowly and cautiously. In front of them, past a pair of Medieval Knight statues, were two big doors; once they opened, it revealed The Ballroom.

Legend used to say that long ago, the original hosts of the mansion used to hold a huge party here, but then a fire broke out and all of the guests, including the hosts, burned to death.

WHILE THEY WERE ALL STILL ALIVE.

But to everyone's shock, it looked like it was just recently cleaned up.

The black and white tiles looked neatly polished and cleaned, there were small figurines by the fireplace, except it was all covered in dust and spiderwebs, and a small clock that read 12:00 a.m. It was still dead quiet, only the sound of the fire and the clock ticking lightly.

Suddenly, a mysterious door from the right began to open up.

Then, a crow, which was perched from a windowsill, flew past the crowd in a huge rush, screeching as it landed somewhere inside the room.

What was that ?

Everyone watched, when some cloak thing moved from the corner of the small room. Some of the parents of the children began to pull them closer in a protective matter, while looking at the mayor as if they are waiting for any answer. The mayor looked down into the room.

When lightning struck from a window in the room, he could see a figure, a female, with their head tilted to the side and waving creepily. The lightning flashed again, and the figure disappeared from sight.

Silence came once again, the thunder was the only "music" that could be heard.

They started walking slowly again, since they all saw the figure in the room, they don't know what it was or who it was.

There was obviously something very suspicious going on, everyone began to look ahead of them in fear. Suddenly, a hooded figure wearing a skull mask appeared right in front of them when lightning flashed, causing everyone to scream in terror and jump back.

The figure then stepped forward with the hood still up and holding the mask, not making a single noise.

Then the mask was lowered, revealing a pair of dark brown eyes.

Everyone soon began to calm down, especially the children who recognized who it was.

It was Sorceress, the Not So Ordinary girl.

"Did I creep you out?", she asked as she lowered her skull mask.

Some of the adults answered yes, some no, but the children just smiled and waved hello at her, and she waved back. "No, you didn't creep me out. Maybe you creeped them, but you didn't creep me out.", the mayor said, not satisfied with her entrance.

Sorceress chuckled, "That's a huge bummer, isn't it? Might as well try a little bit harder next time.". She smiled as she lowered her hood and walked away. "There won't be a next time.", the mayor blurted out.

"Seriously?", she asked as she placed  the mask down on a nearby couch.

"Yes, seriously.",

"No next time, hm? How come?", she said as she took off her black cloak, revealing a torn, ripped grey sweater and ripped jeans:

"We want you out of town,", the mayor began to explain with the rest of the townsfolk following close behind, "We have a nice normal town, with normal people and normal kids

"We want you out of town,", the mayor began to explain with the rest of the townsfolk following close behind, "We have a nice normal town, with normal people and normal kids. And we don't want weirdos telling stories and talking to ghosts.".

Sorceress, by now, was walking to the center of the Ballroom while fixing her hair, listening to the mayor's rant. "So you don't believe in demons?", she asked as soon as his rant was done.

"I do!", a little girl chirped up in excitement.

"Me too,", a woman whimpered in agreement.

"Oh hush now,", the little girl's mother spoke up, "You see what you've done? Aren't you ashamed? Young children deserve to become mature at this age!", she ranted. Sorceress rubbed her hands together as she faced away from the crowd, since she is so annoyed of the way the parents are educating their children.

"Show them the cool stuff you did for us!", the little boy suggested with a smile.

"Shut up, that's supposed to be our secret!", his older brother growled as he slapped his younger brother for the third time.

"Don't hit your brother!", their mother scolded as she slapped her son.

But just as she said the last word, an invisible entity banged at the side of her own head, making a low slam.

The mother held the side of her head as if hurt and looking around, wondering what hit her.

Only a creepy chuckle could be heard out loud, bouncing off the walls and windows.

She's not alone here.
