Pounding.

That was the one word that I could use to describe how I felt right now.

I felt like someone took a jackhammer to my skull and smashed it as hard as possible 50 times in a row. I hate Mor and Cassian.

Whenever I wanted to stop they just kept handing me more and more telling me that tomorrow wasn't going to be easy and that I would want to be drunk. For once in my life I wish I was sober.

I didn't even remember going to bed, and that was the thing. I never made it to my room, none of us did.

I realized that the second that I opened my eyes and found out that my head was on Azriel's lap, By the mother.

"You could have just woken me up." I muttered out peaking an eye out to where Az was still awake and watching TV with me in his lap. I reluctantly sat up and next to him.

"You needed your sleep. Plus with going to the Court of Nightmares..." Before he could finish I shh him holding a hand to my forehead.

As I opened my eyes I saw that Mor was passed out on the table and Cassian was lying on the floor on the other side of the room, how he got there I didn't want to know.

"I have a surprise for you." I was shocked to even hear the words as I looked up to him with a worried look. I wasn't a big fan of surprises.

"Is it Advil?"

"I hope that it is better than Advil. Come on. They are probably going to wake up soon cranky." I huffed out a laugh before following him which seemed to be leading into his room, I was nervous but excited for it.

I had to be thinking the wrong thing.

And I was.

Because sitting in the middle of the huge bed that was made to accommodate huge Illyrian wings was a small furry creature about a 5th the size of even one of his wings.

A gasp caught its way out of my throat as I made my way over to where the edge of the bed and sat on the ground looking at the creature.

A puppy.

Like a real alive fluff ball of black fur stumbling over itself to get to the side of the bed that I was sitting watching the dog before

"You got a puppy?" I looked over to where he was standing grinning over at me his shadows seemed to fly out from around him not even bothering to speak to him. A cute little bark came from the small animal sitting over by me as it rolled over onto it's back.

I cooed to the animal and made my way to sit onto the bed next to him, or her, when all of a sudden he climbed on top of me and sent me flat on my back.

"You got a puppy, Am." The grin that appeared on my face was probably the first real smile that I had given since I was little, before my brothers and father corrupted me.

Setting the little puppy back on the bed I bounded over to Azriel and jumped up into his arms (I KNOW CHEESY BUT BARE WITH ME DARLINGS).

"Thank you!"

"You don't have to go to sleep alone anymore." My heart almost melted at the sentiment as I kissed his cheek before looking over to where the puppy was.

Peeing.

Looking back to where Az was standing I didn't know if he was standing in shock of the kiss or at the fact that he/she peed on his bed.

Naula and Cressida were going to have to do another set of laundry today. I barked out a laugh as I looked to the puppy who gave me a lopsided grin, not even thinking what he/she did was wrong.

"Next time you pee on Cassian okay? I can train you. Come on let's go." I patted my leg over and over again only to figure out that the puppy had no idea what I was saying.

Holding my hands out the puppy let me hold him/her as I went over to the living room where everyone was passed out. Running into the kitchen I grabbed the jar of peanut butter before letting the dog taste a bit and smeared some on Cassian's face.

"Mor stop licking me." He muttered out before swatting the dog away lightly only causing the puppy to lick even more.

"I'm not licking you, Prick." Mor roused herself awake before looking over to where I was sitting next to the little puppy licking the General over and over again.

"Bullsh-" He started to wake up until he saw the puppy lying on his chest liking at a strip of peanut butter that I had put there.

"I am going to kill you, Amber." A growl ripped from the little puppies throat as he looked over to the man he was sitting on top of. Cassian seemed a bit nervous.

"I love you, Shadow. Hmm, Shadow is a good name for you. Don't you think? Now, come on, We should go get you some treats."

***

"I've never seen Azriel jealous of a dog before." Cassian barked out a laugh as he looked to where Amber and Shadow disappeared to.

"He literally just gave her a reason never to spend time with him."

"Is there a return policy on dogs?" I asked looking over to them, I literally just handed her another reason to never talk to me. Gods.

"If you don't hurry soon to tell her she is going to want a return policy on Mates." The shadows curled around me at the thought of her rejecting me. I knew that it was a possibility and I could understand why she would but I didn't want to think about that.

"What are you guys doing?"

"We are talking about how dense Feyre and Amber are because they didn't realize that Rhys and Azriel were their mates."

"Hey I figured it out."

"After the Suriel told you."

"Unrelated. What you guys should be talking about is how Az should be telling her before she gets angry at you for not telling her."

"Angry sex. Perfect."

"No. Not perfect, Cassian." Cassian muttered something that sounded like Makeup sex in which Feyre threw a pillow at him. "Where is she anyway."

"She is with the dog Mr. Super Secret Scary Spymaster got her." Feyre gave me a grin before her face turned solum.

"Mor, do you want to get her and aware her of what is going to happen. We are leaving for the court of nightmares in 50.
