"Mor is with me, Am can go with Az." I really was against the idea of the whole 'flying' thing but the boys insisted.
I hadn't flown with either of them before so I wasn't sure that this was going to go too well and I knew that both of them knew that.
"If you drop me, I am going to kill you, Azriel." I pointed an accusing finger at the spymaster of the Night Court the threat not wholly spoken.
"By the way that you are training, you wouldn't be able to." I gave him a cringe worthy look that made him bark out in laughter.
"Like you could train me any better? I am in amazing shape for your information." It wasn't the truth, I was more reliant on my magic and daggers than fighting and muscles.
His body was nothing to compare to mine, I looked like a juice box compared to a gallon of milk, why the help did I just think of that analogy? Gods.
Before I could make another comment I was swept off my feet- literally- by Azriel. By the time that I wrapped my arms around his neck I could barely hang onto him enough as he burst into the air.
A scream stopped in my throat as I dug my head into the soft part of Azriel's neck trying to keep myself from looking down.
"I am so afraid of heights." The deep, stress free laugh that came from his throat almost made me relax into him.
"I didn't say anything about you being out of shape. Your body is perfect." Blush crept onto my cheeks as he said the words and I was almost grateful that my face was buried in his neck.
My body was far from perfect, I wasn't skinny but I wasn't big either I was sort of in the middle, Normal.
"And as for the heights, just look down a little bit. I won't let you fall." Reluctantly I opened one eye staring at the man holding me from falling down a good hundred feet.
"Wow." I muttered out before leaning over to get a better look, I had never seen Velaris in the night time, this far up in the air. The most that I got was the top of Rita's to see the city but this-this was different.
"Do you get why I fly after dinner?" I nodded looking down at the brilliant city, I guess I wasn't too scared of heights.
"I might have to join you." I said before I even knew what I was doing. Before I could say something back Az responded with a smirk as if knowing that I had accidentally said it without thinking.
"I would like that."
"Race you? Loser has to buy drinks!" Cassian yelled out before Zooming forward down towards the Sidra I barely got a squeal out before Az dove down.
***AZRIEL***
"You are so buying me alcohol." I chuckled looking down at the small female in front of me, who was currently trying to tame her wildfire hair. "I must look like a mess." Amber muttered out a pout on her beautiful face.
"You look beautiful, you always do." A brilliant smile lit up her face as she smiled up to me. Before I could say anything back to her Mor came from over from Cassian's side dragging her into Rida's.
Her laugh shook me as she went along into the middle of the stage and started to dance with Mor her red hair catching everyone's attention on the dance floor. I had to bite back a snarl to the males that looked at her in any way and Cassian could tell.
He loved to push every button on my control that he had.
I knew that he wasn't interested in Amber but it sure didn't help when he was flirting with her 24/7. And he knew that.
While Cassian was trying to get his way into Nesta's life, I was trying to do the same, but with Amber. I loved her. I wouldn't tell her that for fear that she would leave me just like everyone else I ever had feelings for.
"I may have gone over-bored." I muttered out to Cassian who was standing watching the girls dance together looking for any possible threats, or that might have been just me.
Alert looking for any danger that could come to Amber in any way. Cassian nudged my shoulder as if to tell me to move on.
"You know how you said to 'woo' her?"
"With flowers, you know the normal stuff. Please don't say that you bought her like a house or something because that is creepy, Az. After the mating go right away."
A chuckle came from the back of my throat as I shook my head at him, it wasn't a house. But it wasn't flowers either.
It wasn't an it at all.
"You know Milken?" I left it off at that hoping that he would catch what I was talking about and I'm sure that he did because the Illyrian had been bitching and moaning for the past couple months.
And by the look on his face he knew exactly what I was motioning at, the whole thing that I was planning- that I had been planning for months, when I started to grow feelings for her.
"You didn't." Oh. But I did.
