Fluff. Because why not. Fluff is good. Especially for all the Easy boys. They deserve all the fluff.

The view from where you stood on the hotel balcony was absolutely beautiful. Your room overlooked the lake, a view you were grateful to have when you woke up.
Joe had made himself at home with you, often sitting on the balcony with you as the both of you chatted and debated about anything and everything. These small moments of peace and domesticity were a nice relief from the war and bloodshed that you encountered since dropping into Normandy.
"Shame we'll have to go to the Pacific, then back home." you remarked, leaning against the railing. "I was just getting used to the view here."
"Hey, at least you'll have me there. And maybe some of the other guys."
"Yeah, here's to hoping we're in the same company, huh?" You turned back to see Joe smiling at you like nothing could dampen his mood.
"Yeah."
You turned back to the lake, your mind wandering back to Toccoa, where you had met Joe. You hadn't meant to bump into him, really. It was more like an...accidentally-on-purpose sort of situation. You thought he was cute. You just didn't know how to approach him and not seem a little weird while doing it, if you were going to be honest.
Joe had whirled around, ready to grill into the soldier that had almost knocked his food out of his hands. But as soon as he laid eyes on you, the words left his mouth and he was left speechless. In three years, you and Joe went from acquaintances to best friends to lovers. You often wondered how lucky you managed to be when you bumped into Joe that day.
You turned back to Joe to see his gaze still on you, but his eyes said so many things his lips didn't. You made your way over to him, leaning down to press a kiss to his forehead.
"I love you so much, you know?" you told him, grinning.
"Yeah?"
You didn't think you'd seen Joe smile this much since before Bastogne and Haguenau. It made you happy to see him all smiley.
"Yeah. I want to tell it to the world!" you laughed. "I want to tell the world how much I love you."
"Well, go on then. I'm not stopping you." Joe laughed with you.
"Okay then. Here goes."
You clambered up on top of the little table you and Joe had moved aside, hands on your hips as you grinned out at this peaceful corner of the world. You opened your mouth to shout at the top of your lungs, but then shook your head and carefully climbed down from the table.
You hurried to Joe and grabbed his hands, pulling him up with a smile. You cupped his cheeks and pressed your lips to his.
"I love Joseph Liebgott." you whispered to him when you pulled away.
He rested his forehead on yours. "I thought you wanted to shout it to the world."
"That's because you're my world."
You didn't think you'd see anyone else look happier.
