Abel drank the last of his blood as he paced around his room. He was back and Able had no idea what to do. The last time he was here a war had broken out and caused all the clans to turn against each other.

"It won't be like that again." Able said to himself.

"It won't be like what again?" Layna asked waking in the room.

"Layna I'm sorry-"

"Don't worry about it."

She waved her hand as to dismiss the words said by Able.

"Look I came here for one thing." She said walking closer to Able.

Able watched as she came closer and closer to him until she was just mere inches from his face. She darted her eyes as her face grew red. He chuckled and lifted her chin so she was looking at him.

"And what was that?" He whispered in a deep voice.

"Ummm." Her breath shook. "To tell you that uuuuhhh."

"Uhhh what doll?" He teased her as he inched closer chuckling to himself.

—————

She looked in his eyes debating whether to do this or not.

"To do this."

Her non-beating heart beat inside her chest. She blinked and with a sudden burst of confidence she reached up and touched her lips to his. His lips were soft and cold.

———-

He did not kiss her back instead he pushed her way unlocking her lips from his. He stared at her in disbelief. He knew she was in love with him but he never thought she would try this.

"Layna I demand you leave now. That was out of line you must leave now."

He looked away from her and pointed to the door.

"My king, I am sorry I shouldn't have done that. I must have had too many drinks tonight. I will leave."

He heard her leave and sighed deeply. He thought she knew he wasn't attracted to her. He thought back to the throne room and Mary. Thinking about Mary had brought the slightest of a smile to his face and made him forget about the kiss with Layna.

A knock at the door startled Able from his thoughts.

"Come in."

"Sir, there's trouble at the border between the wolves ." The Captain said in a terrified tone.

There hadn't been interference with the werewolves since they went into their isolation. He rushed with Captain out of the castle and toward the line that separates the two clans.  Three werewolves were standing there all with grey eyes and grey hair.

Only the alpha had a different colored hair from the pack. He was not in with the werewolves at the border. They watched Able approach.

"What is the trouble?" Able asked the guard.

They couldn't speak before the werewolves interjected.

"The alpha wants a meeting. They know about him. They know information that will be useful to you." The middle one said.

Werewolves were always to the point and rarely ever dragged on their sentences. They were never good at small talk either. Their alpha had always refused to attend any of the meetings Able had invited them to.

The three wolves turned and headed back to their clan. One howled notifying Able to follow them and to let their alpha know they were coming with the king of vampires.
