Cathy let out a deep breath as she grasped the cold door handle. It was her first day at her new school and she couldn't be mire nervous. She swung the door open and was met with a chorus of different noises. There were people everywhere, screaming and running  up and down the hallways and teachers following after them. Cathy jumped as the bell rang, starting the school day. Cathy had been told to go to the office and get her schedule when she arrived, so she started to look for it. She wandered the halls for what felt like hours until she found it.

"Hi I'm the new student, Catherine Parr." Cathy said quietly as she approached the desk.

"Well hello Catherine! Welcome to Manchester High. You can take a seat while I go print out your schedule." Cathy turned and sat in the nearest chair. Lining the walls of the office were different awards, trophies, and photos. They were all for sports, something that Cathy couldn't care less about. Cathys father tried to force her to play sports when she was little, but Cathy wasn't an athlete. She would much rather spend her days with a book than on the field. Cathy pulled out her phone and began aimlessly scrolling through Instagram until the door was violently opened.

"DID YOU EVEN SEE WHAT HE DID! HOW AM IN TROUBLE" A man barged through the door, tightly  holding the arm of another girl. The man forced her into a seat,

"Unbelievable. First day and you've already been in a fight! The first bell hadn't even rang yet!" The man yelled as he stormed off to the principals office.

Cathy stared at the girl with wide eyes. She had long, brown hair that cascaded perfectly over her shoulders like a waterfall. Her eyes were light green with hazel accents. She had a bruise on the left side of her forehead and blood coming out from her bottom lip.

"Hello?" The girl asked as she waved her hand in front of Cathys face. Cathy didn't realize she had been staring for that long.

"Um...sorry hi" The tall girl smiled and used her thumb to wipe the blood coming from her mouth.

"So I uh -" Cathy was cut off as a group of girls poured into the office. They swarmed around the girl, not giving Cathy a chance to introduce herself. A smaller girl with pink highlights in her hair ran to her injured friend.

"ANNE! Oh my god thank you." She said as she pulled Anne in for a hug.

"No problem Kit you know I'll always stick up for you" Anne let go of the girl and sat back in her chair.

"Anne what the hell were you thinking? Henry plays football and his dad basically owns the school. Did you really think you'd win?" One of the other girls handed Anne an ice pack for her head. She had long blonde hair and was dressed in all white.

"Jane if you had only been there and heard what he said! You would've done the same thing. Anyways Kitty is my cousin and I wasn't about to let him talk about her like that." Anne replied as she gently pressed the ice pack to her bruise. Jane stepped back into the arms of a girl who was wearing a yellow sweater with black ripped skinny jeans.

"Well I'm just glad you aren't too hurt" Jane said as she looked around the room. Her eyes met Cathys and Cathy instantly looked away.

"Hi are you new here?" Jane asked as she walked over to Cathys chair.

"Um yeah I am, my name is Cathy Parr." All of the other girls attention was now focused on Cathy.

"Well I am Jane Seymour. This is my girlfriend Catherine Aragon" the girl in yellow waved at Cathy, "my cousin, Kitty Howard" the girl with pink hair gently stood up and smiled at Cathy, "this is Anna Cleves" a girl wearing a red sweatshirt and black sweatpants threw up a peace sign, "and this is my other cousin Anne Boleyn." She pointed to Anne who had the ice pack covering most of her face. Anne didn't want everyone to see how much she was blushing. "Crap you guys we have to get to class." Jane said as she started to usher everyone out the door. The girls left after saying bye to Anne and Cathy. There was silence for a few minutes after that.

"Can I ask what happened?" Cathy said as she moved to the seat next to Anne's.

"Henry, the biggest douche in the school, was calling kitty mean things so I went up to him and punched him. He started to fight back and yet somehow I'm the only one here in the office getting in trouble." Anne sighed as she switched which hand was holding her ice.

"Annie that's really brave of you to fight him like that." Anne raised one of her eyebrows.

"Annie?" She replied as she looked at Cathy.

"I um I-Im sorry" Cathy started to stutter. God she was falling so hard for this girl already.

"No don't be sorry I kinda like it" Anne smiled at Cathy. The two girls sat in the office and talked for a few minutes until the principal entered with a slip of paper and a stern look on his face.

"Here is your schedule Ms. Parr" He handed the paper to Cathy. "As for you Ms. Boleyn, three days suspension. Couldn't even make it through the first day." He turned on his heel and walked away from the girls. Anne looked down. She didn't want Cathy to see how upset she was. Contrary to popular belief, she really likes going to school and seeing her friends. At school she could be herself and not have to hide it from everyone like she had to at home.

"I think it's time I go to class now" Cathy said as she slowly rose from her seat. Anne quietly nodded and Cathy started to walk out of the room.

"Wait" Anne grabbed Cathys arm with her free hand. "Can I have your phone number so we can text. I want to be someone you can talk to. I know that being the new kid can't be easy." Cathy blushed as she took out her phone and gave it to Anne. Anne typed in her number and saved her contact onto Cathys phone.

"Great! I'll text you later" Cathy smiled as she walked out of the office. She looked down at her phone and giggled when she saw Anne's name and number. She might not hate this school after all.
