Falling for Detective Dawson

The nightmare deepens part 2

I heard Antonio say into his radio
"This is Detective Dawson my partner Detective Glazier has been shot and she's not doing too good. I need an ambulance to my location now."
I felt him take my vest off.
"Hank the bullet went through her vest."
"Come on Teddie stay with me I'm not letting you die."
Then my world went black.

(Antonio's POV)
I helped the paramedics get Teddie into the ambulance
"Antonio ride with them to med" I heard Hank say.
I held her hand in the ambulance.
"Gabby is she gonna be ok?"

"We gotta get her to med quick. She hit her head when she fell and the bullets that got shot into her abdomen weren't through and through. She lost a lot of blood and she's gonna need surgery."

"Come on Teddie your gonna be ok."
That's when my worst nightmare happened. Her heart flatlined. 
"She's flatlining. Antonio I need you to start doing compressions and I will shock her."

"Got it." I started compressions

"Clear"
Gabby shocked her and her heart started beating again.
"She's stable." 
We arrived at med and Dr.Halstead took her to surgery. I was in the waiting room when the rest of the team came through the doors.
Erin came over and hugged me.
"It's my fault she's here. I was supposed to protect her. But I let her go upstairs without me."

"Antonio it's nobody's fault, how is she?"

"There's two bullets in her abdomen and neither were through and through , she might have internal bleeding. She lost a lot of blood and was knocked out when she fell to the ground. Her heart flatlined in the ambulance but she's stable and she's in surgery now."

"Alright while she's in surgery we are gonna find Diego."

"Ok"

(Teddie's POV)
I woke up in a hospital bed with pain in my stomach.
I looked over and saw Antonio sitting in the chair next to my bed.

"Hey your awake." He came over and grabbed my hand

"Yeah I am, what exactly happened?"

"José shot you in the abdomen twice and you lost a lot of blood."

"That explains the pain in my stomach."

"Yeah." He laughed

"Did you catch José?"

"Yeah we caught him, and even better we got Diego back unharmed."

"That's amazing, who's filling in for me at intelligence."

"Burgess."

"She's a great cop."

"Yeah but your a better one." He said smiling at me

"No I'd say we are tied." I laughed at him.
He gave me a quick kiss.
"Hey I don't want to leave but I have to check on Diego and Erin wants to talk to you."

"It's ok go be with your family, they need you right now."

"Bye" he kissed my forehead and walked out

"Bye"

"Hey, how you feeling?" I heard Erin say in the doorway

"Like I just got shot."
She laughed
"Well good thing is your alive. You had us all worried back there. Hey uh you never actually answered me when I asked about Antonio earlier."

"Your right I never actually answered that one. I'll answer it now though."

"Ok"

"When Antonio worked in homicide we were partners every now and then, and I developed feelings for him, but I didn't tell him because he was married to Laura, so I hid those feelings. And it worked because he left to go work in intelligence. It was all good until I came to work in intelligence and that's when the feelings came back. I didn't say anything about them. But then a couple nights ago Antonio came to my apartment and long story short we ended up sleeping together."

"I mean he obviously likes you if he slept with you. You should tell him how you feel."

"I want to but you know how Hank is about in-house dating."

"Good point."

"Actually I think I'm gonna take Antonio up on his date offer"

"He asked you on a date?"

"Yeah, but enough about me. I see the way you look at Jay, what's going on there hmm?"
I smirked at her

"Ok maybe I have a little crush on him."

"So shoot your shot, he definitely likes you back."

"You think he does?"

"Erin I know he does, have you seen the way he looks at you? He basically admires you."

"I might just tell him how I feel then, thanks for your input I gotta get going but feel better."

"Bye Erin."

"Bye"

(The next morning)
I woke up and saw Antonio asleep in the chair next to my hospital bed.
"Hey Dawson wake up"
He woke up.

"Hey good morning Glazier."

"You know how you asked me on a date."

"Yeah"

"Is that offer still open?"

"Of course it is" he said smiling

"Then I'm taking you up on that offer"

"Really!?"

"Yes!" I said laughing

He cut my laughing off by kissing me.

"I'm so happy that you said yes."

"I'm happy I said yes too."
