We're Not Mates?

The Ball

Bella's pov: 

It was around 3pm, when there was a knock on the door.  

"Come in!" I said, sitting up from Jasper's embrace. The door opened to reveal Alec.  

"Aro sent me to tell you that the ball will start in ten minutes." he said. 

"Okay, thank you, Alec." I said just as he closed the door. I turned to Jasper and smiled.  

"Are you nervous?"  

"About what?" He asked. I looked at him like he'd gone crazy. 

"Well today we are officially volturi family. The ball is basically centered around us." I explained. 

"Well when ya put it that way.." He said, and continued when he saw my nervousness. 

"I was kidding. No I'm not nervous and you shouldn't ether, darlin. Just think of it as our return home." He said, wrapping his arms around me and purring in the crook of my neck. I visibly relaxed. I sighed, smiled my thanks and got up. Walking to my closet I grabbed an orange gown. It had rhinestones in the shape of a huge flower on my hip, it was one shoulder with rhinestones on the strap, had a slit up my leg, and flows behind me. I took off my clothes- much to Jasper's pleasure- and put my dress on. I grabbed my pumps, put them on, curled my hair, put on some makeup, and walked over to my mate.

"How on earth do people do this?!" He said, gesturing to his tie. I laughed. 

"Oooh. So Mr. Feared vampire can't tie a tie?" I giggled, tying it for him. He scowled but it soon turned into a smirk.  

"I may not be able ta tie a tie, ma'am, but I assure you I can do so much more." He said, seductively in my ear. I closed my eyes as his breath on my skin sent shivers through me. My breath caught as he placed soft kisses on my neck. I leaned my head to the side to give him more room and moaned when he found my soft spot. My grip on his tie tightened and he chuckled. Not fair. He was doing this on purpose! He stood in his original stance.

"Your a cruel mate sometimes, ya know that?" I said, pulling him to me ,once again, by his tie. I smashed my lips to his in hunger. My arms found there way around his neck. I wrapped my leg around his hip, bringing him closer to me if that were still possible. I then ground my hips against him and we both moaned. I pulled back and looked at him. His eyes darkened with lust. He whimpered in want when I pulled away. 

"I'm sorry baby. I want to but we've gotta get going. Plus....I don't wanna do that until we are married; to make it more..special. Do you understand?" I asked, caressing his cheek.  

"Your right, I'm sorry. It just...frustrating because its hard for me to wait, but I'll do it for you. I promise." He said, his eyes returning to his usual honey golden. 

"Don't apologize, it's not your fault. Now come. We've got less then a minute before we have to be accepted." I said, smiling and pulling him to the throne rooms oak doors. I could hear Aro on the other side announcing us. I looked at Jasper and he grabbed my hand in reassurance. The oak doors opened and we began to walk to Aro, Marcus and Cauis hand in hand.

We stood in front of Aro and he smiled at us. 

"Bella, Jasper, would you like to join the volturi as king and queen and as the leaders of our guard?" He asked, smiling widely for he already knew the answer. 

"I do." We both said, cheers erupted through the whole building. Aro then lead us to our newly made thrones. Jasper and I took a bow and sat. 

"Let the ball begin." He said, walking over to a group of nomads to talk. I chuckled at Aro's antics.
