**Again, I just wrote this so there's bound to be stuff wrong with it, haha. I'd be forever in your debt if you pointed out stuff you saw :)
Thanks!

Chapter Two:
I sat in one of the chairs behind the podium, fidgeting. I could feel adrenaline coursing through me. Today was the day.
I had taken care with my appearance that morning instead of just smearing on some concealer and mascara like I usually did. My hair made a neat bob, which my mom had streaked with dark brown. I felt nice and professional, unlike the uneven but popular cut Istria had. She definitely stood out, what with her vivid blue hair with darker blue streaks, off-the-shoulder shirt, short shorts, and fishnet stockings. I couldn’t believe that she had actually gone to a meeting like that. The fishnet stockings just made her look easy, which was not a good idea in front of a bunch of adults in suits.
Shierry had decided to go professional for the day, like I had. She looked nice, with her blonde hair pulled back and a semi-formal outfit.
I scanned the crowd for Daric. He had told me he’d be there to support me, and he had better. I wasn’t going to do this alone, and I didn’t have many girl friends anymore, ever since Shierry started telling them I was sleeping with their boyfriends. They didn’t last long after that. Idiots.
I spotted him in the crowd, sitting next to my mom, and felt a rush of relief. I noticed that he had gotten a haircut, which was surprising; he had refused any attempt his mom made to get it cut for the past year or so, even going as far as to bribe the barber she took him to to only take off some of the ends.
Finally the president of the board stood up and walked to the podium.
“I’d like to thank you all for coming today,” he said. “First on the agenda is the matter of a recommended expulsion that Principal Markel didn’t feel like he could handle.” The president made it sound like the principal was weak or something, to not handle my case. “They will talk about the events surrounding the recommended expulsion and we’ll discuss it. Thank you.” He nodded to Shierry, for her to get up to the podium.
“Hello,” she said. She didn’t betray an ounce of fear. Of course she didn’t; she knew she was ruining my life and was probably enjoying it. “I’ll cut right to the point. Lori Keating here attacked me on the school’s yard a few days ago, beating me up pretty hard. I was bruised and cut, but as you can see, that’s healed thanks to a medic my mother knows. I complained to Principal Markel yesterday and he called us into his office and brought up the fact that I had also seen Lori hack the school’s computer to boost her ranking on Profile.”
A few people in the audience gasped. I wondered if they were just being overdramatic or if they actually meant it.
“We confronted her about it, like I said, and she denied all of it.” Shierry decided to get emotional at precisely the right spot. “I even have witnesses. I just want to see her punished fairly. She cheated me out of my ranking on Profile and injured me physically and still denies it, claiming we’re lying. I’ll let her take the podium now.”
I strode up, trying to control my anger. Uncomfortable as I was talking to large audiences, a little bubble of panic started to swell in me. I ignored it and took a deep breath.
“I denied them because they are lies, fabricated by Shierry to get me kicked out of school,” I said flatly. “Anyone who knows me knows that I’d never hurt someone. And they know that I’d never try to cheat the Profile system like that. Granted, the evidence against me is pretty strong, but it’s all coincidental, and unless Shierry, Istria, and Liana are willing to lie in court, won’t hold up.”
