Your POV
I slowly opened my eyes, just enough to see what was in front of me. And it was dark.
Great.
Moving my head to look around, I flinched, sharp pain running through the back of my head. Instinctively, my hand flew up to grab my head, but my hand couldn't move. I briefly looked down and saw my hands in cuff like things attached to a chair that I was sitting in. My legs were in the same position.
Growling and muttering cusses under my breath, I heard something shift. I quieted down, trying to look around the dark room for the source of the noise.
"..W-who are you?" A quiet voice asked. I continued looking around, not sure where the voice was coming from.
"I'm not saying anything until you tell me where you are," I said as bravely as I could.
".....I'm right behind you... He put us back to back.." They said. I looked over my shoulder as much as possible and could just barely make out a very small figure. She had long, curly, white hair, and there was some sort of horn on her forehead. "So.. who are you?" She asked again. I sighed through my nose.
"I'm Toga (Y/n). Just call me (Y/n)," I said. A door opened and a light was flipped on. I squinted and saw a tall figure in the doorway, recognizing them to be none other than Chisaki Kai. He walked over to me, watching my every move. I sat as firm as possible, making sure not to look scared, even though on the inside, I was absolutely terrified. I had no idea what he was going to do to me.
The small whimper from behind me didn't help my inner terror, it only made it worse. Overhaul was right in front of me now, studying me. My heart was beating so fast, I tried not to show it.
He took off one of his gloves.
That was what broke me.
Every part of my being panicked, realizing there was nothing I could do. Overhaul saw the fear in my eyes, and noticed my terrified structure. He chuckled lowly, putting his glove back on. I calmed down a little, but not entirely, and you could still tell that I was scared out of my mind.
"Toga (Y/n). I've heard about you," he said. Instead of being quiet like a normal person who's terrified, I stood up to him.
"Oh, really? I had no idea that I was on pretty much every news channel and on the front page of every newspaper. When did that happen?" My answer was so sarcastic it hurt. He slanted his eyes at me, and I made direct eye contact, my fear finally dissipating.
"Tell me why you're here (Y/n)," he said, pacing back and forth.
"Well isn't it obvious? I came for the quirk destroying bullets. You aren't the only one who doesn't like quirks, you know," I replied. He stopped pacing and looked at me.
"You say that when you yourself are infected," Overhaul said, eyeing me curiously.
"Well so are you, and you don't seem to care about that. Because your quirk is a, quote, 'necessity'. Is that not right Chi-"
"Shut it," Overhaul interrupted, giving me a sharp glare.
"My quirk is a necessity too," I said smartly.
"How so?" Overhaul came closer to me, so close that his plague mask was pretty much touching the top of my head.
"I'm not saying why until you let me out of here," I answered confidently.
"How about a deal?" Overhaul bargained. I raised an eyebrow and he continued. "You tell me how your quirk is a necessity, and I'll decide what to do with you. You know too much already, so I can't just let you go."
"So if you aren't letting me go, then what are you implying?" I asked.
"If your quirk is deemed necessary, and you're devoted to our cause..." Overhaul paused to adjust his mask. "Then I'll consider letting you join the Shie Hassaikai," I smirked a little and chuckled, shaking my head.
"Look, Chisaki. I'm not looking to join your group. I am my own group, wanting to help in furthering your plan. Joining you would only ruin that. So if you won't let that happen, then kill me," I said. Overhaul seemed rather appalled at that, and I internally laughed.
"I'm not killing you. You're smart, and have good tactics. You nearly outsmarted me, but that one slip-up nearly cost you your life. With a little more practice, you could have an important role in our plan," Overhaul said. I blushed ever so slightly. Being complimented by my idol was a pretty big deal for me. I sighed quietly.
"Fine. I'll join the Shie Hassaikai. But, here's why my quirk comes in handy," Overhaul nodded to show he was listening.
"If you ever need to sneak into a building that's heavily guarded to retrieve something, send me in. I'll need information on the person to know how they act and what they do. That's the information I lacked when I broke into here, and as you can see, it didn't end well.
"I'll be able to get inside as them, and be able to find whatever it is you need me to find. If I get caught, I know how to fight. Oh, and people's quirks would be pretty handy to know, that way I know what I'm dealing with," I explained. Overhaul thought for a bit, then placed his foot right beside the chair, where a button was located on the floor.
The cuffs released, and I rubbed my wrists. I looked to him and he turned around and started walking away. I took that as a "follow me" and followed him. On the outside, I had a straight face with no expression. On the inside, however, I was laughing and congratulating myself on my little lie.
Oh yeah, I studied Overhaul's behavior and such and figured out how to convince him. I did want to join the Shie Hassaikai, but if I agreed the first time without any real reason to, then he would've gotten suspicious and cancelled the offer, resulting in my death. I played my cards carefully, and managed to get into the Shie Hassaikai, barely breaking a sweat.
