Chapter two

I have soft brown hair and the same chocolate coloured eyes. A very boring combination. I wore glasses because of my poor eye site. The only things in my cupboard was old fashioned blouses and ripped jeans from the op shop. Where Rosy stuck out of the crowd, I fit in perfectly.

We somehow became friends, we started talking about things together. We sat together at recess and lunch, went to each others houses to do homework and walked to the bus together. Everyone started calling us the composite twins after a girl in year nine nicknamed us that when she was filling in for a teacher.

Although we had many physical differences, the more we talked the more we got to know each other, the more I realized that we were basically the same on the inside.

Despite what people thought, Rosy was a complete nerd. She read masses of books a week, and got As in every subject. She knew everything about astronomy, which I only found out when I was at her place doing science homework and I asked her some questions, teasing her. She blushed and answered them like she was born knowing the answers. I mean, I knew then she was a nerd but not that much.

It turned out she was obsessed with stars and outer space, she loved their patterns and their distance. I was kind of jealous of her knowledge.

Rosy weirdly fainted at the sight of blood and screamed at the sight of spiders.

So we Ying and Yang, were not so different after all.
