"yeon!" sicheng's eyes glowed when he saw his best friend running towards him. his lips curled at the end, hinting the red tint on his ears.
"oo~ nice score back then, sicheng." yeon complimented the game.
sicheng pursed his lips and looked away from her gazing eyes. "thanks. i swear i could have scored a second."
yeon scrunched her nose, hitting her arms against the confident boy. "well, i'm your good luck charm. that's why you scored."
sicheng let out a slight chuckle, mocking the girl. his eyes moved down to the floors and passed her shoes. he noticed her shoelace were undone.
he suddenly fell onto one knee, leaving yeon surprised and stepping back. his hands reached her shoelaces and begun tying them.
"next time, be careful. i don't want you falling for others." he said.
yeon's cheeks flushed red, dropping the books in her hands onto sicheng's head. "s-sorry... AND stop flirting with me like that!" she laughed it off. "it makes me really think that you like me.."
as sicheng finished the knot, he rose back up to meet her eyes. "what happens if i really do?"
"i know valentine's tomorrow, but you don't have to shove in my face that i'm SINGLE!"

yeon flopped her body onto the bed, remembering about what sicheng had said earlier. "was he just flirting earlier? or was he tryna say something else?"
she heaved out a large sigh. "what i really hope is... that he also likes me back."
yeon had taken an interest for sicheng since many years back. they progressed from strangers in middle school to best friends in high school, but that was all.
his timid persona never shown interest in her. unlike today, she felt a hint of confession hidden between his words.
she turned back around and looked at the shoes that he had tied up tightly for her. "sicheng. i won't fall for another if you're gonna keep playing with my heart like this.."
