Encre's POV

Wind rushed by me as I ran through the forest. Yells and loud footsteps follow me. They're after me, they saw me change, they think I'm dangerous. I'm not.

I had lived in Underville for at least a few months. They found me in the forest and brought me back. However, it's not the first time I've been in this forest. I've lived in it for about 8 years. It wasn't bad, I got used to it. I..... why I am thinking about this now? I've got to get away from these hunters.

As I pull myself from my thoughts a loud bang pierced the air. Then a pain pierced my shoulder. I let out a yelp. I stumble, my black blood staining my clothing, but I continue running. The forest is dark, the plenty of trees covered the ground from the crescent moon. It doesn't matter since I'm not even looking at where I'm going. I probably should have as I run into something.

I fell to the ground and looked up, I didn't run into something, I ran into some-one. I froze, thinking it was one of the hunters. The stranger stares at me, a blank expression on his face. I slowly sit up, still maintaining eye contact. It takes nearly a minute beforeI'm standing up straight. I stared at this stranger, they were a black skeleton with blue markings around their eyes. I then noticed two fangs pointing out from their mouths. They were a vampire!

His gaze lowered to my bleeding shoulder, his eyes narrowed. Like a predator instinct, he saw the chance of food. I took a step back.

Fallacy's POV

This mortal had ran into me in the forest. I studied their face. A small white skeleton with a blot of ink on their face. Their eye sockets constantly change. They seemed cautious of me. . . I smelled blood. My thirst began to grow. I saw that they were wounded, their blood was...black? I knew that it wasn't out of the realm of possibility to have a color of blood other than red, but I have never seen black blood.

My thoughts were interrupted as I saw the mortal take a step back. I grinned. The mortals tensed and put their arms up in an attempt to protect themself. They squeaked as I captured them in my grip. Unsurprisingly they struggled.

"Lâchez-moi!" They shouted.

(Let me go!)

Oh! So they spoke french.I didn't know it all that well, so what they said didn't exactly matter. I smirked, I put my nose against their neck. They flinched at the action.

"There's no use in running you know." I growled into their neck.

They shivered. Without a warning I sank my fangs into their neck. The let out a pained gasp. Their blood was sweet, addicting even. I noticed it wasn't even blood, it was magic. It was very rare to have magic instead of blood. I guess that's why it was black. But it tasted delicious so I didn't mind all too much. The mortal's grip faltered, they were losing consciousness due to the blood..er magic loss.

Just as I expected, they collapsed in my arms. I picked and studied them. That's when I heard shouting in the forest. Hunters. Was this mortal with them? He wasn't armed. I took my chances and brought the limp mortal back to my castle.

AN: That's right boisss, we startin' with action. I'll explain backstories in later chapters. I'm using google translate for the French, so it may be wrong. Also the translation will be bellow it.

I had this one already written(I normally write these in google docs then copy and paste them here) so that's why it came out so fast.
