Nadia and I both fell asleep in the living room and woke up with Ahmad jumping all over us. Nadia picked him up and carried him into the bathroom to brush his teeth. I sat there, thinking about Evan. That blonde chick that he had with him was pretty. Really pretty.

I went up towards the mirror hanging in Nadia's room. She was blonde, where I was a brunette. She was also ampler in the chest and hips area... I lifted up my hair, looking at its dull colors.

"Don't do that to yourself. It's not worth it." I whipped around to find Nadia by her dresser, pulling clothes out. "It's not your fault that he's a jerk and wanted a bit of action. Plus, doing that just shows him that he won. You want his victory?" She questioned me, arching an eyebrow.

I simply nodded. She nodded and tossed a towel at me. "Then go take it." and gave me the grin that unleashes hell.

Ahmad was running around, hyper after having waffles for breakfast. He played soccer with Nadia while I sat in the soft grass, my ankle too sore to play. Not that I would win, of course, Nadia was too good at that.

I stared at my phone, texting Sam and Tanner that I better not see them together when I come back If Ahmad actually let me go back. Then, a shadow popped over my spot and I squealed.

"Missed you too Turbo!" a deep baritone voice spoke as I tackled Mason into a hug. Me, a 5,5" human being of average height looked like a little kid hugging my 6,6" talk gay friend. He looked away from me and focused on Nadia, who was currently chasing Ahmad around the field.

"Single mom?" he questioned. When I shook my head no, he replied. "She's hot. Think she's into the borderline gay type?" I smacked his arm.

"Since when were you anything close to borderline?" I responded as Nadia walked over with the ball thief on her back. Ahmad started reaching for me and I lifted him up, setting him on my hip.

"Who are you?" Nadia directed towards Mason, who now blinked at how bluntly she spoke.

"Mason Zachariah Jones, at your service." He said with a flourish, giving her a low bow. Nadia just stared at him, then turned towards me.

"You're screwed." she simply stated. I stood there, puzzled for a minute, but I turned around.

Spencer Lee is a pain in the ass.

Mason let out a low wolf whistle as I turned around. Only to see Spencer Lee running past me. In nothing but basketball shorts. Nadia made this weird choking sound and looked ready to burst into laughter as Spencer slowed down in front of us.

"Damn sis, just imagine that..." Mason looked like his dreams were made into flesh. I elbowed him while setting a hyper Ahmad down. Nadia said something in Arabic and Ahmad went to retrieve his ball.

"Sorry buddy, I'm straight. Got a couple of friends you could meet though." Spencer pulled a full stop in front of us. He nodded at me and grinned at Nadia. "Hey Nad, where's tiny?" he asked as he pulled her into a hug. Imagine my horror.

"Spencer!" Ahmad came running with his ball in his hand. Spencer picked him up and smiled. What. The. Heck. Nadia has some explaining to do. I narrowed my eyes at her, giving her my "WTF" look.

"Nadia, my mom's waiting for me. I need to take some aspirin." I looked at her. She nodded at me and gave me the 5-minute signal. Spencer beat her to it though.

"What'd you do this time Taylor? Did your boyfriend finally get what he wanted?" he smirked and I saw red.

"In, out, in, out." I thought as I responded "Why are you asking? Did you lose that race too?"

He just stared at me. Nadia jumped in. "Taylor, how about we go before your mom charges me for kidnap and files you as a missing person?" She pulled Ahmad out of Spencer's arms and waved goodbye.

"See you, Mason." I stated and did a light jog towards Nadia's retreating back. I caught up with her and opened the car door. She set Ahmad in his seat and opened the driver's door. I sat in shotgun and gave Nadia a look as she adjusted her mirrors. "You gonna tell me why Spencer Lee gave you a hug back there?"

Her green eyes flashed at me through the mirrors. "I tutor him and he's the son of my boss. He's the reason I even got an internship there." She said as she pulled out of the parking spot. "He's not that bad. I'd even call him a friend if it wasn't for the fact that you can't stand him."

We sat in silence until Nadia pulled up in front of my house. She gave me a look as she handed me my duffel bag. "Don't forget, revenge is at Evan's locker before the bell rings."

I grinned as I took it from her arms. "And this is why I love you."
