HARRY'S POV

"Good morning Harry." My mum's soft gentle voice said.

I gave her a tired smile, with squinted eyes. It was always so bright in the kitchen, given the all white walls and the curtains open to their fullest. Taking my seat next to Gemma she passed me a plate of eggs, and I grabbed two pieces of toast. "Butter and jam please."

She passed them over and I began to spread the combination onto my bread. Loud foot steps came from the stairs. Gemma smirked knowing that it was our new step father coming down. Him and I never got along, every since my mum first met him; I didn't care much for the guy. But as long as she was happy, I managed to put up with him.

He walked in and kissed her cheek, "Good morning honey." Then turning to us, "Gemma, Harold."

"Marv." I said while stuffing eggs in my mouth.

He shot me a glare, then focused his attention on my sister. "So Gemma, how's school going?"

I faked gaged at his weak attempt to make conversation.

Gemma smirked, "It's fine."

Marv then looked at me, "What about you son? Are you finally coming onto the idea of college?"

"First," I said while waving my fork around, "I'm not your son. I'm Harry. And two, no, I have not. College doesn't interest me."

"Well don't you think that'd be best for you? I mean you're 21 and still living with your mum for god sake."

"Gemma's 23 and living with her mum too." I smirked

He sighed deeply, knowing that this conversation wasn't going any where. "Gemma is actually in school. Plus, I think your mother would be quite pleased if you went."

"You don't know what she'd be pleased with Marv."

"I'm her husband. I think I do."

"But you're not her first."

"Harry!" My mum chimed in.

I huffed while putting my fork down and going upstairs. I decided that cutting myself out of the conversation would be best before I said something that'd upset my mum for real.

Sitting on the edge of my bed I pounder on what I should do today. Maybe I'll stop by Amanda's, see what she's up to.. No, that'd be clingy, and she's probably with her parents now. I'm not just going to barge in unannounced. It's only been a couple of days since I last saw her. But I couldn't get her off my mind. Her beautiful eyes and shiny brown hair. I shook my head to regain focus. Niall, I'll go to Niall's.

After getting dressed I made my way back down stairs pass my arrogant step father and through the back door. It was very covenant that my neighbors were two boys the same age as me.

Climbing over the fence I was now in their back yard. Opening the slider door, it was unusually quiet, "Hello? Is anyone home?" I received no answer so I continued into the house, up the stairs, and straight to Niall's room. Sure enough he was there sleeping; drool running down the side of his face. I grabbed the glass sitting on the bedside table and went to the bathroom to fill it with water. I then stood before him, "Poor Niall" I thought. Throwing the water on him Niall shot up like a rocket.
