Mandy POV

It's been a few days since the party; a few lonely days.

I haven't heard from my parents, nor Casey who is out of town. As for harry, he texted last night and told me that he was going to come over later. I'm not going to lie, when Harry's name appeared on my screen I instantly became happy. I don't know why, he's just a boy. A silly, silly boy.

I sat in my room, and gazed up at the ceiling. I still had a good hour before Harry would be here. But what are we going to do when he gets here? I guess I could make dinner and have it done by the time he arrives.. No, I'll just get take out. Pizza, or Chinese, or something. I grabbed my phone and started to scan through the options I had for dinner. I found a place, just outside of town where I could go and pick up dinner. It was a restaurant, but they had a carry out option as well.

I called and placed my order. they told me it'd be ready in fifty minutes. After, I texted Harry and then gathered my keys, along with my jacket and slid on my shoes. I then rushed out the door so I could be back in time.

I reached the town of Sarton within about forty minutes. only because I drove like a maniac, and weaved in and out of cars. I pulled into the parking lot of 'Paradise Grill' and took in the scenery. The restaurant had palm trees, and fire torches, and it just had the whole beach-ey, theme. I walked inside and instantly smelled all the flavors that were in the air. I walked up to the front and was greeted by a girl whose name tag read Sue.

"Hello, welcome to Paradise Grill." She grinned widely, "How may I help you?"

"Hi, um, I'm here to pick up my order."

Sue smiled wider, "Sure thing, can I have your name?"

"Mand- I mean, Amanda." I responded.

"Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, ah yes.. oh.." Her smile fell, "I'm sorry Amanda but apparently the kitchen is having some complications, and your order is going to be at least another half hour."

"um, okay?" I was confused at just how they were having complications, mostly I was annoyed because now I was going to be late. "Okay, I'll be back then. Thank you." I managed to force a smile.

Outside I sat on the bench and fumbled with my phone as I dialed Harry's number.

"Hellooo." He cooed into the phone.

I smiled, "Hey Harry."

"Hey, I'm leaving in a few."

"I just called to tell you that I'll be a little late."

"How can you be a little late to your own house? Are you with someone else? Is he better looking than me? Is he taller? Is there at least a competition?"

I could tell he was smiling on the other side of the phone. Smiling wider than the Nile river. I laughed "Oh shut up. I'm not with anyone else. I went to Sarton, to pick up dinner but they're having troubles. So I'll be late."

"Mmhum, so you went to buy me dinner? Isn't it my job to buy dinner?"

"Noo." I smiled. "I just thought id do something nice. So I'll call you when I'm on my way, Okay?"

"Okay Amanda."

"Mandy." I corrected

He laugh, and we both hung up.

I got up, and looked around wondering what I was going to do for thirty minutes. Last time I was in Sarton I was a sophomore in high school. Me and Casey came here after school once with some other friends and we shopped at the many endless roads of shops.

It's surprising how much different Sarton is from Pribridge. For only being an hour away Sarton was on the coast, and was more of an vacation town. In the summer the town was wildly packed, where as the winter was completely deserted. For Pribridge, it's always deserted.

I walked down the rode and turned to enter the beach. there wasn't many people on it today. just a few families and their children. I made my way down to the water taking my shoes off along the way, and sticking my feet in. At first the water was pretty chilly, but after a few minutes I warmed up to it.

I stood there and watched the sun on the horizon, feeling completely at peace. The birds chirping in the distant. The waves crashing. I was in my happy place.

"Mandy?"

Or so I thought.
