Hello my wonderous peeps! I hope you are having a bad day. Why, you might ask? So that I can make it better! After all, making people happy is what I aim to achieve.

So, in this chapter Sans will have a secret, Frisk can't know about.

Enjoy!

I hope you get this well
You troublesome troop
For I will not be home
For your welcome home fruit
Leave it to me to stand you up
But leave it for yourself
To have left me to rot

I took clothes off racks to use as beds (I saved us the nice ones for changing into). I found a white sheet covering a couch in the back room of the shop. I gave it to Frisk as a make shift blanket. She almost instantly fell asleep. I, on the other hand, did not. I kept staring at my boot, the back of it had holes in it in the shape of teeth. I had felt sick since I got into the Pawn shop. I didn't tell Frisk, but I got bit by an Infected that had no legs. One of those things bit me and I felt worse and worse by the minute. I thought I might have a carving of eating people but I didn't, oddly enough. I felt my soul beat get faster and faster with passing time.

10:30 pm

I laid on my lump of clothes and sighed. I kept pushing the thoughts of friends to the back of my mind, if they were in the Underground then they were safe. That's where everyone was told to go, it was safe there. I needed to stay positive, for myself and Frisk. On the plus side, the back of my skull no longer hurt. I wanted to sleep, but I felt restless. Please, just let me close my eyes. Please, just let me forget.

11:00 pm

I felt a small bit better. I was sweating a lot earlier. I wasn't anymore, thank goodness for that. I rubbed my eye sockets and sighed heavily. I took my shirt off and boots off. Maybe now I can sleep. Please, I beg once more, let my go where problems don't exist.

1:00 am

I woke up to have Frisk cuddled up against my rib cage. I smiled and went back to sleep.

8:30 am

I woke up to Frisk shaking me. I yawned and forced myself into a sitting position. "What time is it?" I asked stretching. "Shh, someone is outside." She whispered. Then it dawned on my, the sounds of the Infected were no where. I took my pocket knife out and carefully took myself and Frisk to the back room. I kept Frisk behind me but she wasn't cowering, she glared at the door with her knife, ready. It was a look I'd know too well.

Error would show me different Charas and Frisks when he kidnapped me. We had become awesome friends, I had expected it in the end. What I didn't expect was to fall for him. He said depending on which counterpart of the originals I come upon also determines their weakness. I'm from Underswap, the Frisk here is scared of being forgotten and being left alone (most would prefer being alone). The Chara wants something to protect and loves a good surprise. I knew them both like the back of my hand. Thank you Error for universal counterpart class.

They busted in, probably kicked the door in and moved the shelf. Frisk gasped and her grip on her knife got tighter. "Sans, they shot the Infected with guns and bows. I could hear it outside. All we have are pocket knives." She stated. My breathing was short and quiet, I was focusing on the door.

"Bro, we need bullets, I only have 27 barrels left."

"Yeah, Dylan is right, I only got seven bullets left."

"Both of you shut up, I'm in charge. I only have five arrows. So I know we're low on ammo."

"Dylan, check that back room. See if there's any ammo or something we can use."

I held my breath as did Frisk. I stared at the doorknob as it turned slowly. The tension in the air was thick and sickening. I wanted to cry, was this the end? The door opened and a gun was pointed directly at us. Frisk hid behind me no longer confident. The holder of the gun was wearing a dark purple jacket with musical notes on it. He had curly brown hair with blond strands. He wore jeans that had blood staining the rim. Old sneakers had blood on them too. He moved the gun away from us and gave us a look of, what I assumed, hope. Was he happy to see us (we're strangers)?

"Oh, a monster and a kid. I thought all the monsters went to the underground. It's safe there." He stated. He put the gun to his side. "What?" I heard heavy footsteps before the curly haired guy got pushed over. A taller man with a ponytail stared at us. His clothes were bloody and his arm had bandage wraps tied around it. "Oh, how did you survive? You don't have any weapons." He asked. He had a cross-bow. "What's your names?" He asked holding his hand out. I took it, these guys weren't going to kill us, they didn't have a reason to anyway. "I'm Sans and this is Frisk." I stated simply. He smiled and shook my hand that he was still holding. "I'm Wayne, this is Dylan, and over there is my brother Marshall." He introduced. Frisk never let go I'm my hand and refused to speak. Marshall was very young, maybe ten or eleven. He had a pistol in his hand. His hair was blond and had light blue tips. He had light skin with freckles. He had a blue shirt on and khaki shorts. He looked up at Frisk and I. He had bright blue eyes.

"How come you aren't in the Underground?" I asked. Wayne gave a short laugh. "We didn't make it, they closed the gates before we got there." Dylan stated. "Frisk got separated like I did from our family." I stated. I sighed before getting a gun shoved into my chest. "I see you have a kid skeleton dude, so here is a rifle, there are ten bullets in it. Take it. I noticed you're kid has a pocket knife and that's not going to do much." He said. I took it. I hadn't shot a gun since I was ten and that was a bb gun (author note: Did I type that right?). "Uh, thanks. Um, where are you guys going to go?" I asked. It may be an apocalypse but I still had the slight urge to help people. "We are going to go to Washington. We met some others sayin that Washington was safe. There's supplies and food there." Wayne explained. "Washington, that's a two week journey on foot." I stated. "We know, the cars in the area would start a crowd of zombies so we have to walk. However, we need to get where it's safe. Marshall doesn't know what it's like to be alone and I don't want to make that kind of decision." Wayne said. I nodded completely understanding him. "Yeah, well then you just get going. Frisk and I are staying close to the gates in case they open them again." I said. Frisk nodded faintly behind me. Wayne chuckled and told me we'd be friends from now on. They left and I noticed there weren't any Infected outside.

"So Frisk, let's find some new fresh clothes to put on so we can find some stuff we can use around town." I said. She nodded having gotten her confidence back. I took a black tank top and a pair of shorts. Instead of boots, I was going for a pair of black and white sneakers. The only thing I kept was my bandana. I found an old brown backpack in the junk around this shop. That'll be useful. Frisk got done getting changed and was now wearing a light blue t-shirt and shorts. She had pulled her hair back in a short ponytail. She still had the same shoes on from before. "Ready to go?" I asked. She nodded and took her pocket knife out. I figured she was just getting ready in case she needs to use it. " Let's go then."
