chapter 1

Y/N'S POV;

as the sun was setting, neil, max, nikki, and i all went into me and nikki's tent to play truth or dare. just have some good fun with friends.

"alright, truth or dare... max!" nikki exclaimed. max cocked an eyebrow, "uhh.. truth." nikki smiled, "do you...heh... LIKE like someone?" she giggled. max scoffed, "hell no. everyone here fucking sucks." nikki rolled her eyes, "there's gotta be someone!" max shook his head.

max then turned his head to me, "ahem... y/n truth or dare." he looked at me. "uhh truth!" i responded, he groaned. "you always pick truth, dickhead." i rolled my eyes, "fiiiine. dare." i said.

he gave me a sinister look, that nikki and neil didn't catch, "i dare you, to row yourself to spooky island, stay for 10 minutes. then you can come back." he smiled evilly.

nikki and neil were "ooo"ing. i was hesitant at first but i didn't wanna look like a pussy or some shit.

i tried acting confident, "no problem." i responded. we all stood up and rushed to the dock.

nikki and neil prepped my canoe and paddle things.

i got into the canoe and took a deep breath, max creeped up next to me. "nervous, aren't you?" he tormented me.

"no!" i stammered. he snickered. i wanted to prove myself so i quickly got going.

i finally arrived to the island and got off the canoe. i'm only here for 10 minutes, it's not gonna be that bad.

i walk into the woods and it looks darker than it already was on the other side of the lake.

i took a deep breath, "you're gonna be fine, y/n. don't be a baby."

i walked deeper and deeper but suddenly i found a house. neil told me that a house on this island was campbell's old summer home and also the quartermaster's sex dungeon place... yikes.

i began to hear moaning and wailing from the house. i shiver at the thought of what might go on in there, "gross, dude." i said to myself.

"i know right." i look to my left and see and person who looks like they might be around my age. "h-hOLY FUCKIN-" i yell, out of fear. i tripped over myself and fell down to the ground.

the kid walks over to me, "woah, didn't mean to give you a fright there, home slice!" he apologized, "you need help?" he put his hand out but then immediately took it back, like a realization had hit him.

i stood up and brushed off my clothes, "o-oh uh, i- no im alright." i stuttered.

"aw gee, didn't even introduce myself!" he slapped his head and went 'duh' , "im jasper, i live here on spooky island!" he smiled. i slightly smiled back, "ahem, well, hey jasper! i-im y/n." i weakly waved.

"well it's great to finally see someone again, no one comes on this island besides old people getting their freak on, and some platypus." he shrugged.

i raised my eyebrows, "oh, i'm sorry about that." i frowned, "im actually here because of some stupid dare." i informed him. he slightly frowned, "yeah. people used to come here willingly. now, i rarely get any visitors." i gave him an odd, "well, i can try to come down here sometimes. i really don't want you to feel so alone and sad on this old island."

"oh, well, you don't have to do that one for me, friend. i don't wanna force someone here, you know?" he rubbed his neck. i slightly smiled, "you think your parents would ever send you to camp campbell for a summer?" i say, while sitting down on a log. jasper copies my action. "eh, most likely not. my folks are long gone from here." he chuckled.

i gave him a concerned yet bittersweet look, "d-did your parents... abandon you, jasper?" he smiled anxiously, "o-oh no! well, i guess in a way, kinda.." he fidgeted with his hands, "i-its a long story!" he shrugged it off. hmph, poor kid.

"y/n! dude where the fuck are you?!" i heard shouted and say flashlights as they got closer. "well, looks like i gotta-" i turned to look at jasper but he was..gone?

"y/n! there you are!" nikki came running at me and locking me in a hug that yanked me to the ground.

max and neil walk over and look down at me a nikki as we laid on the ground, "dude, where the fuck was your dumbass? it's been like 20 fucking minutes!" max yelled at me. neil scratched the back of his neck. "yeah, max was getting worried." max's face went red, "the fuck? n-no i wasnt! i just wanted our game to continue." he defended himself.

"hey, by the way, who were you talking to?" nikki asked. "yeah, i heard you talking when we came up here.." neil added.

i stood up and turned around, seeing if jasper was anywhere. i turned back around, facing neil, max, and nikki, "no one. just.. thinking i guess." i shrugged. max scoffed, "fuckin weirdo." i flipped him off.

nikki decided to row with me in my canoe and max and neil went on their own.

me and nikki told max and neil goodnight and we both headed to our tents.

nikki yawned, "boy, this day has made me exhausted! i can't wait to finally sleep!" nikki cheered. i raised an eyebrow, "i dont think i've ever heard anyone be so happy to sleep." i laughed.

we laid down in our beds, nikki quickly fell asleep. but i couldn't, jasper was stuck on my mind. its crazy how quickly he disappeared. he seemed real interesting, i just feel bad for him. alone all the time. having to deal with old, horny people. it must suck.

"night y/n. thanks for visiting." i heard a whisper. i jolted my head up and could have SWORN i saw jasper.

im just tired. i need sleep i suppose...
