Riley woke up the next morning in his room - all alone with nobody else in sight. He checked his phone to see if he missed anything last night, but it was mostly just random pictures people took from the party.

He dropped his phone on the bed when he realised that he didn't get anything from Jessie. Riley regretted letting him run off last night, he needed a chance to show him how he felt about that boy - even if he couldn't get the words out.

Riley heard the door knob rattle along with some keys, and his nerves picked up when he expected Jessie to walk through that door any second now.

Those spiking nerves flatlined once he saw it was only Cameron that came through the door. Riley let his frustration show on his face when he told Cameron, "I thought you were Jessie."

"Great to see you too." Cameron laughed.

Riley assumed that Cameron came from Chantelle's place since he wore the same clothes from last night. Cameron came back to their room because he wanted to take a quick shower before they had to leave.

"Did you see where Jessie went last night?" Riley tried to ask, as if he didn't have the same question on his mind since last night.

Throwing his towel over his shoulder, Cameron explained. "The last time I talked to him was when he chased you back here. After that I think he must have stayed with Olivia or something."

"Did Jessie seem... weird... to you last night?" Riley threw the question in the air to see whether Jessie had an open breakdown in front of anyone.

"I mean, once he came back to the party, he left straight afterwards. So I wouldn't know." Cameron admitted.

Riley didn't have time to dwell on Jessie's reaction since he forcefully kissed him last night. Given that he literally ran away from him despite wearing a cast, Riley had a feeling it wasn't a good sign.

Cameron chucked Riley's bag at him and told him to het out of bed quickly. "We've got classes in a bit, you can talk to Jessie there."

With the bathroom door closed behind Cameron, Riley tried to call Jessie before they had to go to school together.

Riley heard the ringtone from his phone, but it was immediately declined afterwards. Riley figured out that Jessie deliberately didn't accept his call, and so Riley grew anxious.

The first time they were face to face today was in maths class. Riley was already in his seat near the back when he saw Jessie in the doorway.

He was wearing the same clothes from last night, and he had bed head hair too. Riley thought it looked extremely cute on Jessie, and his eyes didn't leave him when he walked inside the classroom.

Riley sat up straight as he knew Jessie would have to eventually pass him in order to get his usual seat. He wanted to play it cool as if he he hadn't been waiting to see Jessie for several hours, but he felt rejected when he saw Jessie take the seat furtherest away from him.

Luke smiled at Riley when he sat in Jessie's seat - which was normally in front of him. When Riley asked why he wasn't in his usual seat, Luke explained that Jessie asked to switch before classes started.

"He said something about being closer to the door in case he had to limp somewhere." Luke laughed as he placed his books on the table.

Riley turned away from Luke so he could then pull his phone out. Finding Jessie's name, Riley began to text him.

From Riley (9:15am): "I need you in front of me so I can copy your notes."

From Riley (9:16am): "You always explained things better than the teacher."
