We're now on his car dahil ihahatid niya na ako sa bahay and honestly out of the way naman talaga ang bahay niya sa amin. Imagine he is living in Maramag while I lived in Valencia, look how far is that! He even lied that his house is on the way daw? Kung alam ko lang edi tumanggi na ako.
The dinner went well. I'm glad his family accept me wholeheartedly exept for one, his sister megan. I mean I can see through their actions that they're happy. Honestly, I don't have plans na sagutin si Zahir today because I'm waiting for the right timing but maybe being in front of his family is the right timing I'm waiting for.
"Yeah, I meant it from the heart" I said and wink at him. "Anong oras ka available bukas?" I asked him because I have plans to introduce him to my mom.
"At 5:00 pm maybe. Why'd you ask?"
"Sasabihin ko kay mommy papakasalan na kita." Sabi ko at humalakhak.
"Tssk. My girl here got a smart mouth."
Nakangising sabi habang pasimple sumulyap sa akin bago binalik ang mata sa daan.
Never been into a serious relationship before, I tried but I failed. Hindi naging kami pero muntik na but I saw him kissing another girl. I learned to love him but he choose to cheat and hook up with some girls he just met.
"Babe, I'm tired." I looked at his direction with brows forming one line. "Aren't you tired?" He added
"I'm not" I answered him with confused look. " Kanina ka pa tumatakbo sa isip ko" pabulong na sabi niya kaya hindi ko nasundan.
"Huh?I don't know how to drive, babe." I honestly told him.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sorry." kung marunong lang ako edi sana nag offer na ako na palit kami ng pwesto. I tried to practice how to drive but I don't have the patience.
"I thought, you mastered that arts already? 'Coz you're driving me crazy."
I looked at him with disbelief because of his sudden remark. Hindi ko pa ata na digest ang ka cornihan niya kaya natulala ako ngunit natawa din bigla.
" Last mo na yan?" I asked him and laughed hard, of all people I didnt expect him to throw that banat!
" Sana man lang sinuportahan mo no?" Nagtatampong singhal niya pero napapailing rin sa huli.
"Ayusin mo sa susunod, ha?" I teased him but he just ignored me the whole ride habang ako ay tawa ng tawa.
Nang malapit na kami sa bahay ko ay inihinto niya ang sasakyan at tinitigan ako. His stares made me uncomfortable kaya nilukumos ko ang mukha niya at siya naman ay sinasalag ang kamay ko habang tumatawa.
"Stop staring!" I told him and fold my arms while pouting. I don't know if I looked cute or just making myself dumb in front of him.
I never imagined na darating ang punto na magiging kami ng hinahangaan ko lang noon mula sa malayo. Crush crush lang naman eh! Hindi ko naman ini'expect na magiging kami.
"Masama bang titigan ang girlfriend ko?" Kahit hindi ako manalamin alam kong pulang pula na ang mukha ko!!! Iniwas ko ang mata ko sa kanya at tumingin nalang sa bintana.
"Uyy! Kinikilig siya!!" He teased me and leaned closer.
"Wag kang lalapit!"
"I'll just unbuckle your seatbelt, babe let's go?" he offered his hands and I didn't hesitate to grab it even though I don't know where we are going.
"Hey!"
"Shhh! Trust me, you'll love it"
he then wink. Nako naman kahit nerdy ka bakit tagos hanggang kaluluwa mga kindat mo?
It's already 9 pm and we are in the middle of nowhere. Sa palagay ko paanan ito ng Mt. Kalayo, ang dilim ng paligid, he just use the light of his car para mailawan ang paligid.
I am busy scanning the place when his hand rested on my shoulder. He lead the way and pointed the hood of his car.
"Mag sta'star gazing tayo?"
"Tumpak, Nadali mo!"
Nagulat nalang ako nang buhatin niya ako para makaupo sa hood ng car niya habang siya ay nakasandal lamang doon. Kaya ginawa ko, nilagay ko ang mga kamay ko sa balikat niya and rested my head on his head at nilagay rin naman niya kamay niya sa ulo ko habang hinahaplos ang buhok ko.
"Thankyou" he whispered, hindi ko na kailangang tanungin kung bakit, dahil alam ko na ang pinapahiwatig niya.
"You don't have to say that. Its my heart to dictates me what to do" I said and smiled kahit alam kong hindi niya makikita ang mga ngiti ko.
My heart beats so fast, I don't know if he heard it or it's just me who felt it.
"Sorry if I'll send you home late. I just want to be with you on our first day."
Sabi niya at humarap sa akin he held my hands tight and stare on me like a gem, precious and rare.
"May 14, 2020. I'll remember that date" He climbed on the hood of his car and sat beside me. He then rested his hands on my shoulder. Lumapit ako sa kanya at inihilig ang ulo sa balikat niya.
" I known you for more than a year and courted you for so long. Don't get me wrong, okay? I just can't believed I received your precious Yes today." Tumawa ako sa sinabi niya at binalikan ang mga araw kung saan nagsalpukan ang mga baso sa ulo ko. I just can't believed as well. Maybe our heart are just meant to collide.
I lifted my face and holds his chin forcing him to look at me. His forehead creased and a line appeared between his brows while the corner of his eyes crinkled. I don't want to make a move but it looks like someone is forcing me to do so.
My eyes was set on his lips, I leaned closer to him and gave him a quick smack. I saw his eyes went round and flared. Siguro natablan na ako ng hiya kaya iniwas ko ang mata sa kanya, as I looked at him again he is now laying on the hood with crossed legs. I glanced on the sky and noticed billion stars sparkling from above and smiled. I copied his position and immediately lay down. He offered his arms to be my pillow and I comfortably positioned my head on it while looking at the sky.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" He asked and I nodded while eyes still set on the billion stars.
"You love it?"
"I love it." I answered him with eyes twinkled just like what I'm watching.
" I love you" He said which made me looked at him in an instant but his lips welcomed mine. His mouth formed into a smile when I kissed him back and answered him with the same intensity he is giving me.
I closed my eyes and savor the moment together with stars up above. We kissed soundlessly, long and soft before he pulled away, breathlessly.
" I love you" he said and kissed my forehead before we settle our eyes again on the stars who witnessed that sweet kisses.
