New Rules

Chapter 5&6

Once both were finished they returned both their Pokemon. "I think I have some training to do' Leanna said as she rushed home to get her supplies. "She wanted Bulbasaur didn't she?" Herold asked.  He then took a breath and looked around the room.

They both got their Pokedex and started to head out of the lab. Ronald headed toward route one while Herold when home to say goodbye to his family.

Meanwhile, our main veteran trainer Ash was putting his training to use. Even though he could carry all of his Pokemon he still could only use teams of six.  Right now he was facing a hiker in a one-on-one battle. It was his Rhydon vs Snivy both Pokemon were going at it.

After a while, Ash called out "Snivy use Giga drain." Suddenly a large green beam of energy shot out of her mouth and wrapped around the large gray two-legged rock-type Pokemon. Once they were attached the beams began to drain the Rhydon's remaining health.

At her house, Leanna was busy packing up when her mother came into her room. "Honey I want you to be mindful of any veteran trainers on your journey," she told her. The woman was worried about what Oak told her. Did Leanna and her friends know about it or better yet did they care?

"Veteran trainers you mean like experienced trainers?" she asked. This caught her interest and she turned to listen to what her mother had to say. Her eyes widen as she waited for her to continue what she had to say. "What about veteran trainers mom is there something about them that has been changed or a new rule?" she asked

"Yes, the league has issued a new rule now they must take all their Pokemon with them" she answered. "Which means they must also train up all of their Pokemon" she continued as she thought."I heard this town has some veteran trainers but I am not sure who or what their Pokemon are" her mother finished.

As Leanna was listening to her mother, Ronald was headed for the next route. As he walked Ronald noticed that the wild Pokemon seem to be scarce. This in turn made the walk rather boring. "Alright I just need to gather up my team but how?" he pondered.

Meanwhile, Ash and his Pokemon were taking a break from all the training and battling he had been doing. Snivy was coiled up on a nice warm rock. As they were relaxing Ash was deep in thought "I wished I knew why it took so long to tire out both Bulbasaur and Snivy. Those two had been training and battling for hours today" he muttered.

Ash was preparing lunch for himself and his Pokémon as he started to relax.  While he was preparing the rest of his Pokémon was busy chatting away.  He just filled each bowl as they were marked. Once he had finished one he would wash and move on to the next. This process repeated until he had filled every single one.  They then started to eat

As they finished eating Ronald and Charmander were battling a trainer and his Metapod.  The battle was long and tiring for Charmander as Metapod kept using the move harden. Finally, after a long battle, Metapod fainted. 

Afterward, Charmander was panting heavily as Ronald called him back.
Meanwhile, Ash and his Pokémon had finished eating and were now packing up. He turned towards them, cleared his throat, and began to speak.  "First up I want to thank all of you for going with me on this new journey" he began.

Then he continued with "secondly I would like to apologize for not thinking of doing this myself." After a while, he finished "finally I would like to propose that we take our training as far as we can."

As Ash got ready to head to the gym, Ronald and Charmander started getting ready to have lunch.  When they sat, down to eat some of their food was not there anymore.  He got up and started to try to find the culprit.

Soon, Ash arrived to challenge the first gym as bayleef let herself out.  She was followed by pignite and. corphish he could not believe that these rematches were part of the rule.  Well, this would be fun for the most part perhaps it would help him get farther.  He took a breath and headed inside the gym Brock was inside waiting to have his rematch.
