Two males gather in the dark alleyways of the city, drops of water fall into the puddles on the littered ground, dim lights shinning into the pathway. They look at each other as one male towered over the other till they went into a slouchy position with a toothy grin devoid of any lips drooling for who knows why.
"Did you get anything?" The shorter male said looking up to the other, their face straight.
"Uh, no. Why are we doing this again?" The taller one said moving their toe claws against the cracked concrete in almost a frightened way "Don't you care for my safety? we are basically on the run!" They hissed looking around behind himself and above himself for all too familiar lights, he was surprised they would ever get this far.
"We are alone in this world. We are getting our friends out of... time out." The shorter one answered in a playful but serious tone yet the other smiled innocently adjusting their hat and letting out a little cackle.
"Another friend?" A small buzzing sound came from the larger male a grin going across their face as he was soon shushed by the other male in front of him. The sound quickly stopped and the suroundings soon went silent before the smaller male put their hands out, their face seemed cracked and parts of them disappeared and reappeared as of glitch in a video game"Ofcourse."
After the response of the male in front him he walked up to him and hugged him, it wasn't expected nor explained but he barely much of a body to hug.
"Promise me," the bigger male said "that we will make it out alive..." Their voice seemed to crack as if they were crying, the other didn't know how to feel so they just awkwardly hugged back patting their back before they eventually let go. Did they feel bad for him?
"I can't promise. Friend." He answered before seeing lights behind the bigger male brighter than usual he glitched away leaving him alone, he looked around clinching his teeth his feet turning to the side as he saw the light from the corner of his eye. His steps echoed around him as he moved his large body across the slim alleyway and out of the way of the lights, it was nothing but a civilian but their eyes peered down the alleyway seeing the glowing eyes of the large male from afar. They eventually went on their way averting their eyes from his.
"Brandon...?" They worried looking up and around, they seemed completely gone a frown went across his face before he sighed. He trotted away from the alleyway quickly as it was getting close to sunrise, he was pretty sure the search parties have already been sent out but that was all he knew but he was mostly looking for him knowing he didn't go far.
"Are you a stray dog? Stupid mutt." A voice came from behind him and as he looked at their body it was broken and their speech glitchy, the wondering mutant of a man seemed relieved to see the other again but the other didn't seem so happy. He almost wondered why but before he could ask a question he was moved along by the sounds of steps by them, they were standing on the sidewalk.Like they wernt a bunch of outcasts.
