The steps stopped in place before looking towards the buildings seeing the sun slowly creep across the walls, it stood there in a cloak their arms unable to be seen beyond it. They watched the two run off away from the sun as if they were vampires. They missed their chance and the tension was increasing...
"Brandon, where are we going.?" The bigger male whispered loudly as they ran off into the backstreets, the wall with a hole in it was mostly fixed and the place was closed down, yet, they were there.
"Shut. Up." Brandon seemingly hissed, his voice low but loud at the same time looking at him with a deep glare "I need silence.." he added softly 'sitting' on the dirty ground, the place was dingy and the air was a breeding ground for dust bunnies. The larger male had no words to say yet wanted to say everything on his mind but the look on Brandon's face said it all..and it wasn't all anger. He looked away at the open space behind him a wall to his left, they were at a construction site it was only partially built.
Silently, eyes looked over them from far above their eyes tilted as a viper but blue as the dimly lighted sky. The stranger wondered whether this was a good time and they stood there to think while standing on an iron beam the wind billowing through their hair. They clinched their jagged teeth within their mouth, they couldn't do this, Too much could go wrong.
Brandon's eyes were closed, he was curled up in the fetal position the other sitting on a cinder block watching over Brandon although he was way out of his league when it came to intelligence. He felt terrible for his friend so he had to break the silence. He looked at Brandon again not knowing that eyes laid on his every movement before the brute went to the ball of flesh on the ground, he could see that he was slowly healing parts of him returning from who knows where across the city fairly quickly.
"Brandon...I don't think it will be safe here too much longer, cause of those... building people." Some of his slowness showed in his sentences but anyone would have known what he meant. Brandon didn't answer, it was as if he was asleep the brute wanted consent before just plainly throwing the pale stick over his shoulder but he wasn't going to get any, he sighed deeply before picking Brandon up.
He looked both ways before running off looking for somewhere to hide, the backstreets where they were or an abandoned building would do good for now. But there was a huge problem at hand: How would he manage their needs?
He wasn't thinking of this, the last time they both ate was yesterday and they were both losing more and more energy by the minute.
The stranger continued to follow them, this was a risky choice for them. They could hear bicycles riding around putting up posters and throwing the newspaper out, the truck wasn't coming out till later in the day probably around 5:00. They watched the two travel around aimlessly and hopelessly, they almost felt bad for them but they weren't going to let that get in the way. The two that they were pursuing stoped and laid one on the ground, they seemed...concerned about the other. The stranger looked around discreetly, there was no one out yet not even the hero apprentices it was now or never.
The brute tried to wake Brandon up but he couldn't, 'he dead? He was just up an hour ago..' he thought his face stale and panicked he would be devastated if he was just poking at a dead body this whole time..." Bran-" he tried to call out his name before a bad aura was felt behind him, his heart raced he didn't believe in his gut his head slowly moved back to Brandon but his voice was muted. The stranger grew many eyes and a strangely human black claw before it stretched out towards them grabbing them by their tail and pulling them back, unable to fight back Brandon was out of the protection of the brute. He tried to get himself from the grip of the stranger, they walked towards Brandon each step making him angrier and angrier, deep growls came from him as he pulled at the grip of the dark hand.
"Stay away from him!" He roared his muscles clinched to the point nerves showed, they didn't answer just picked Brandon up with another arm and looked at him closing their eyes and letting him jump at them right into the jaws of a creature coming from the stranger's chest. He couldn't dodge and was thrown into a wall breaking through it.
As the dust settled around him his vision became blurred due to the tears the dust made, he was more furious than sad about Brandon's kidnapping. He had too many questions and having a rock for a brain didn't help him too much. He got up slowly looking at the wall he had broken through, he had made a scene with the people who were out during this time.He never thought of getting rid of the witnesses.
