Chapter 8:Set and Done

The discussion died down after hours of it going on.
They all gathered in the living space, Brandon had already eaten quite a few times and received anti-venom so he was more energized.
"Alright, we have a plan in place." Ryusei announced not looking towards Brandon though he looked at him "Doing it at night would be a good idea, but it would make it less likely that we would get a hero instead of a firefighter." He spoke, everyone starred at Ryusei intently and respectfully for once and he took a second to look over everyone.
"So, what time?" Chieko asked raising an eyebrow, he sat on the couch with Amaya and Kaito while Akane sat with Jack and Brandon sat by himself.
"2:00-5:00 pm. If you don't know it is currently 12:48 pm, and we need time to get to our places. We are gathering around one of the more populated buildings so we can make sure that the firefighters can not finish the job. This is crucial as we are making the building a bomb fire." He said as Kaito gave an expressive confused face before speaking.
"Ryusei I know we talked about this but how will you make sure we aren't a part of the bomb fire? " he said as mostly everyone nodded their head in agreement except Brandon, he was just listening.
"All of us won't be there at the same time that's asking for the police to surround us," Ryusei answered.
"You will have to be there Kaito, as well as Chieko and Amaya. The rest who are best at melee will have to act as a backup but Brandon." He turned his head towards him, "If you are able, go into the devices in the building and gather Intel before we launch." He said to him and he nodded his head. Ryusei pointed out the exact building Brandon, Kaito, Chieko, and Amaya were targeting and went on their way, they would know when it was time when they saw the smoke.

The time was 1:20 pm

It took all of them about an hour to get from the base area to the city again but another obstacle in their way was the number of people in the streets with phones and wondering eyes. Amaya looked at the three by her, wrapped two dark arms around them, and lifted them using the hole in her chest to climb up a building herself. As she got near the top of the building she laid them up there first before pulling herself up, it took her longer to pull herself up there since she had no arms so it was harder even for her dark energy hands to pull her.
The building they were targeting was far and included many building gaps in order to get to, it was one of the tallest buildings besides UA and their dorms Brandon almost felt bad that it was going to go up in flames. Brandon had to go in the front, he couldn't be seen well when glitching across the rooftops the only thing people saw below was the pieces of him lost with every glitch, even then they saw nothing wrong as bird feathers and other things always floated around in the air aimlessly as it did.
The time was 1:30, Brandon was tired and had to wait for his body to come back to him after glitching for many minutes straight. He looked up and around at a light above him it wasn't on and he was sitting at the alleyway between two buildings, he wasn't the only one in that alleyway but they seemed to be asleep and they were grinning widely, at least they were living a good life...so it seemed at least. After waiting while he glitched into the light and into the building causing it to flash and malfunction till he found a camera and looked through, it was a lobby like place with people coming in and out of it constantly with the person behind the desk didn't seem too excited to do their job until someone talked to them.
He went on to the next camera, it was nothing but a hallway but a bunch of people were dancing in the hallways and laughing with music, he smiled a bit as they started to mess with each other before hyping each other down the hallway.

He wondered what was going on today, but didn't have time to ponder about it. After that was the faint sound of the music on the 3rd and 4th floor of the building,  a single person leaned against the wall seemingly texting on their phone intently. After that was the roof, he appeared on the roof seeing Chieko and Kaito from above while Amaya stood far off on the top of another building, sadly enough for Kaito the Generator was in a room beyond a metal door and he was unable to burn through it but Chieko could. He looked at him and he looked back with a glare putting on a gas mask and tieing it tightly.
Kaito stood back a bit as a mechanism went off in his mouth causing him to spit acid onto the door and for it to quickly disintegrate. He didn't say anything after that and just walked into the hole in the door and the generator room, Chieko blew through the nozzle for any leftover acid from the shot, there is only a little that came out so he used it to burn through a tiny bit the metal covering.
"Hey!" A voice called, it was mid-tone but angry making Chieko quickly turn his head around . It was the police... of course, they were called... Kaito loudly swore as 6 police officers came in, they could hear the sirens going off and coming closer, Chieko used his hands to try and bend the metal a little bit but couldn't all too well.
"Kaito! Now!" Chieko shouted as Kaito elbowed one of the officers in the nose, threw a blue fireball at the generator, and tackled Chieko embracing him tightly as the place went up into a blue flame incinerating the police officers inside. The blue flames slowly started to hurt Kaito's mostly fireproof body, he couldn't leave Chieko or he would burn in seconds.

Ryusei, Akane, and Jack watched as the smoke rose, Jack grinned wildly and started to dance in place. Ryusei and Akane just looked at each other for a bit before Ryusei held his brother's hand, Akane flapped his wings and went into the air as Jack, full of excitement, Jumped from where he was into the air as well slowly falling to the ground away from them. Amaya looked at the rushing vehicles and debris falling from the building, she saw that they haven't emerged from the building yet and went down there but could only get a certain distance as the fire was too hot and her dark arms couldn't stretch that far.

She took in a deep breath and jumped into the fire.
