Chapter 9:Chaos Emerges

Her cloak almost instantly caught on fire, she coughed deeply as she saw the door they went through and extended her dark arm into it. Her eyes were full of tears she threw them out onto the sidewalk her cloak and bandages that contained her uncontrollable arms were charred and loose making them free but she fell out due to inhaling too much smoke. Chieko was the only one conscious at that moment but he was bewildered at the situation, his eyes were wide and tears came from them mostly because of the lack of air he had while covered by Kaito. He held his chest and took in a deep breath but he didn't have time to relax, more and more attention came to the scene some cheered for Amaya for saving them both.
She soon woke up having a coughing fit and he ran over to her lifting her up but she pushed him away, a pair of hands tried to grab him then she used her quirk to tighten her bandages again strapping them back down easily, she stood before Chieko blinking her eyes constantly before running with Kaito in her arms.
The people in the building started to panic, the fire alarm went off and the people who were originally having a good time were running down the fire stairs for their lives. The singular person at the top floor sent their text and looked around as if nothing was happening she took in a deep breath and coughed deeply.
"Agh! Dang it! what's happening!" She exclaimed looking around then eventualy seeing blue fire burst through the elevator door and into the doors by it quickly burning the carpet below her feet, she covered her eyes barely being able to breathe, and felt the floor crack under her before she fell. She groaned as she fell right into the fire but was still alive.

"YAO!" Someone yelled making her look up but her body was crippled from falling three floors down. She was unable to answer so just tried to get up coughing constantly though soon fell out. Her clothes were burning but not her skin luckily her quirk protected her skin from fire but her injuries were too severe. Brandon was on the top of a different building watching the plan unravel, he thought back to what Kaito said and averted his eyes from the scene. He was knocked out of his thoughts as someone tackled him, their eyes were wide and they had a mouth full of teeth, they hissed lowly and easily held him down with their black muscular arms.
"Bran..don. Wanted for trassspassing, esscape from custody, and Assault." They said their voice was extremely hissy and his chin hit the edge of the building causing him to bite his lip and for it to bleed. He could feel claws on his back, he glitched away causing their hands to awkwardly fall forward and make a yip-like sound in surprise.
"If you are going to greet me how bout you do it properly?" Brandon growled looking at the creature, they had a scarf-like device around their neck and a long grey scaly tail. He dusted off his shirt as they stood up clinching their fists, squinting their slitted eyes, and flicking their forked tongue.
"Did you do thisss?!" They said slowly advancing closer to Brandon as he waited there.
"Of course not" Brandon answered with a wide smirk on his face as usual but the creature didn't believe him with their shady tone and stance, he hissed deeply once more before jumping at him, Brandon picked up some debris from the ground and hit the creature with it causing them to miss and glitched towards them to hit them again but was kicked away three dangerously sharp claws stabbing into his belly and sending him back. He laughed a bit as he touched the wound from under his shirt and looked at the blood.
"Heros don't kill. Villains do." Brandon said with a sinister giggle to the creature as they got up, they didn't seem to be listening to his statements and ran at him again clawing towards Brandon, he had leaned backward trying to dodge it but it hit his cheek. In response, Brandon glitched behind him punched the back of his head more of the neck area. It hurt his knuckles as he did so and caused the creature to fall off the building and onto a metal stairway not that far below.
The fire raged on, The white-haired female couldn't get into there. She put her lizard on the ground and it turned into a larger dragon-like creature but she couldn't get in on her own even with her ice-like abilities as the fire quickly melted it and the smoke could also get to her. She hoped Levi, her lizard creature, would be able to find Yao or other people in the building. Levi quickly ran in, their scales resistant to fire they looked around quickly using the extra eyelid they have to constantly clean their eyes of debris. Since Yao was on the first floor Levi quickly found them but as they picked Yao up gently a large bar of metal and wood fell behind them, Levi looked back quickly with Yao limply hanging from their mouth, they had to place them down and they tried to roar at the debris but it didn't move but did remove the smoke for a few seconds.
The lizard made a coughing sound and shook their head in a bothered way picking Yao back up and jumping over some debris trying to push down beams of iron and wood to move it out the way to get to the outside, Levi saw the outside and ran to it but as his head poked out to the fresh air a moved beam fell on their backside forcing them down into a painful sitting position. Kōri looked around waiting and trying to put the fire out, cold mist came from the sides of her mouth as she moved her hands around towards the fire the mist and ice shards made the fire smaller. The firefighters also were trying to put the fire out but they weren't having as much luck using water and even with fire extinguishers it took a very long time.

Akane dropped Ryusei onto the ground, he nodded at his brother as he flew off and saw Brandon and the creature. He saw them climb back up onto the building while enraged, yet, Brandon smiled and seemed entertained, Akane sighed shooting quills from above at the creature disorienting it and making them look up as he dived down to them and landed cornering them at the edge of the building quills in their arm, chest, and a little bit of their face. They couldn't jump off they would definitely die. The device around their neck shot venom at Brandon's face but it was blocked by Akane's wing as he extended it out and sent a punch towards them but it was blocked with his arms, Akane expected this and kicked them full force in the groin area.
"Should've put on some pants." He said as they yelled out in pain and he kicked him again sending a quill on his face deeper into their skin blood rushing out. Venomous steam came from the creatures scarf device, Akane backed up as well as Brandon it was probably the only reason they were given mercy. Ambulances, Police, and Fire department galore the S.W.A.T was coming so the plans progress was running out of time, they had to pick a target.
Kaito was still out, they couldn't afford to have a limp body like him during this moment. There was nothing but chaos around the place and Jack had just arrived.
"Whoaa! This is crazy" he said looking around excitedly before Ryusei looked over at him.
"We aren't here to have fun, Jack." He said in an annoyed manner as Brandon was placed by them and Akane.
"We have a possible target, but hold your breath they are emitting something," Akane said as he took his brother up again and they proceeded to go to the creature, they were curled up in the fetal position shivering to try to move as they heard the steps but the pain was rushing through his body quickly and constantly.
"I got this!" Jack said landing by the two, and grinning at them both holding their breath. Jack had forgotten to do so himself, he aimed his arm at the creature's neck they moved slowly clinching their teeth, they closed their eyes slowly as Jack shot at the larger vein in the neck. It was a Tranquilizer but it didn't shoot as well since it was meant for holding daggers and knives, the creature was quickly knocked out but Jack was unable to pick up the creature. He started to cough a dry cough before he fell over. Ryusei watched him he had sadness in his eyes, if anyone died during this...

He was really going to be at Brandon's throat
