[Lauren's POV]

It's my first day working as a maid. I know what you're thinking, me? As a maid? I know it sounds like I hit rock bottom. Trust me, I never saw myself becoming a maid, but I was short on money and Dinah just pulled me right in. The owners were looking for a new maid anyway. — Dinah was my childhood friend, as soon as she heard I was falling apart, she picked me up. But it wasn't that easy, she just got me in and if I wanted to stay, I need to pass the interview with the house owners which was in a few seconds.

I was already sat outside their office waiting for their secretary to call me. My legs were bouncing up and down nervously. I hate interviews — what am I even supposed to say? What questions are they going to ask? What if they ask a personal question? I think I'm going to faint.

The office door swung open, "Ms. Jaguari?"

I stood up, "It's Jauregui," I corrected the secretary and she shot me a cold glare for doing so. What was her problem? Asshole.

I walked into the office and took a seat. The owners sent me a smile which I reciprocated. The boy had curly hair, dressed neatly, and If I guessed correctly, I'd say he's someone important in the business industry. For the girl, her brown locks of hair fell down just below her waist, had a body with perfect curves, and she looks a little younger than me.

"If you still don't know, I'm Shawn and this is Camila my girlfriend," The curly haird boy introduced — his voice sounded different from what I expected; It was more pitchy and high. "And you're Lauren, correct?" He asked while looking at the paper in his hand. I have no idea what Dinah wrote on that paper.

I nodded confirming my name. "The dress code here is no showing too much skin. So, no shorts and sleeveless shirts and that sorta stuff," Shawn added and I nodded to show that I was listening.

Feeling a heel approach my ankle, I instantly twitched in my chair. My eyes shot towards Camila then back at Shawn. Did Camila just- "It says here you're okay with only Saturday being your day off?" Shawn eyed me, waiting for an answer.

I felt Camila's heel slowly run up and down my leg. Was she doing what I think she's doing? I gulped and turned my attention back to Shawn, "Uhmmm- Yeah, I'm fine with only.... Saturday." I shut my eyes for a few good seconds berore opening them again. I felt my throat slowly dry up, my mind was trying to focus on anything but her heel running up and down my leg from underneath the table. God save me!

"Okay, Camila will hand you your schedule later but for now, you can get settled in and meet the other maids and make sure to get along with them. I don't want any trouble, okay?" Shawn watched my response intently.

Camila's heel went a little higher this time. I quickly pushed my chair back and stood up. "No trouble, I got it," I said, feeling eager to get out of this office. The heat I was feeling was not bearable. I needed to leave this office.

I made a move to leave, but Shawn called me back, "I forgot one more important detail. You may call us, Sir and Ma'am."

I nodded, "Yes, Sir." I took one last glance at Camila, "Ma'am." With that I walked out of the office. She had a grin on her face as if she was satisfied with what she did. Gosh.

Stepping out of there, I was able to breathe again. I calmed my heart and went straight to where everyone else was. I entered the room with the words 'Maid room' written on the door.

My eyes instantly met Dinah's and she approached me with a smile, "How'd it go? You look a little tense," She made a comment and I forced out a small chuckle.

"It went- great," I scratched the back of my neck. I didn't want to tell her what happened. It's not that big of a deal anyway. I'm not lying, I'm just not telling her what Camila did because I don't see it important. Maybe it was just a test by Camila?
