We reached the top of the stairs and I knew exactly what was going to happen behind her bedroom door. Just as we were about to enter her room, we were stopped by the sound of glass breaking from downstairs. Camila and I met eyes before rushing back down to see what had happened.
We entered the kitchen to see Sofi trying to pick up broken pieces of glass. I tried to stop her, "Don't!" But I was too late because the little girl had already cut her hand.
I rushed to her and gently took her hand, red liquid was pouring out.
Shit!
"What the hell happened?" Camila asked her eyes fixed on the spilled juice and broken glass scattered on the floor. She looked at Sofi with some anger visible in her eyes, "Why did you have to mess everything up? And it just had to fucking happen when I was clearly busy?" Camila yelled beside me.
Why the hell was she mad?
"I was going to get juice," Sofi explained with her head down, unable to meet her sister's eyes. "I'm sorry."
I rested a hand on Sofi's shoulder, "Its fine. Everyone makes mistakes. Come on, let's get the medical kit." I gave her an assuring smile.
Camila called some other maid to clean up the mess as I brought Sofi to the couch to clean up her wound.
"This is going to hurt for a few seconds," I warned her before applying the medicine to her hand. When I was done, I wrapped her hand with a small bandage. "It's all done."
Just as I was about to stand up and leave, Camila came marching in.
"Why the fuck do you have to be so clumsy?!" She yelled at Sofi.
"I'm so-sorry." The 6 year old was obviously on the verge of crying.
I opened my mouth, "Stop yelling at her. She's just a kid and everyone makes mistakes.... that's how we learn to be better."
Camila shot me a glare.
She turned back to Sofi, "Go to your room!" The little girl quickly shuffled up to her feet and rushed up the stairs. Once Sofi disappeared, Camila turned her attention back to me, "What the fuck are you doing?"
"It was just a fucking glass, Camila. I really don't see why you're going off on Sofi for a dumb glass and for the millionth time, everyone makes mistakes."
"Who the hell do you think you are? Stuffing your nose in something that is obviously not your business! And how dare you talk to me like that! I'm your fucking boss! Know your place before I fire you!" Camila yelled at me.
Wow! If you're the fucking boss then treat me like a fucking maid and not like your secret sex slave! Asshole!
I gritted my teeth, stopping myself from letting out my thoughts. I had to do what was best for me and what wouldn't get me to lose my job. I took a deep breath and looked at her, "I'm sorry, Ma'am. I assure you it won't happen again." I bit my inner cheek and walked away with my fists balled up.
I entered the Maid's room and slammed the door behind me. Everyone inside turned to me as if I was crazy. I sighed, "Sorry, I'm in a bad mood," I mumbled before speed walking to my room. I shut my door and let my body fall onto the bed.
Why the hell was she getting all mad because of something so little? We were literally just about to make love, then 3 minutes later she's yelling at me like I'm a piece of trash. I groaned into the pillow. Bullshit!
I let sleep take over my body, just to forget about the new happenings, even if it's just for a while.
