CHAPTER 4 - Festival Part 2

You suddenly felt nauseous and you didn't know why. Was it because you ate too much food? Probably. You love food after all.

You told Liam that you wanted fresh air and so, you stepped out of the fancy restaurant only to be greeted by your Masked Captain.

"Captain! It's a surprise to see you" the masked man looked at you and smiled. He held out his hand and gave you an item, "It seems like I forgot to give you this, all members have this"

(A/n : yes, this is canon. He uses a device to communicate with the Golden Dawn members)

"You look quite breath taking as well" he whispered  to embarrassed to say it aloud. You didn't hear any of it as your head tilted in confusion.

"I see, what are you doing here?" You asked with your seemingly adorable face looking at him. He swore that his breath hitched when he first landed his eyes on you at the festival. You glowed greatly from the makeover, it suited you well.

"I was requested to take a look at the festival and patrol" He lied effortlessly. You nodded your head in understanding. You felt a hand over your shoulder as you saw Liam behind you.

"Then, I'll continue my mission now, Captain" you saluted and both of you walked away. You were now stumbling and you felt your body weaken.

"Are you alright?" Liam asked you, his voice lacing concern. You fell into his chest and you were breathing heavily. He carried you, bridal style and you went back at what you presumed to be his household.

Hazily, you saw fewer maids than normal and his house seemed to be more dim. You had a bad feeling about this but you trust Liam enough .

Wrong choice .

Liam placed you on a soft bed and you relaxed. Not until you heard the door snapped  locked. Your magic and yourself has been weakened to the point that you don't even sense much of it anymore.

'I've fallen for such an obvious trap' you gritted your teeth in remorse.

You tried standing up and confronting the man you spent the festival with. Horror filled your eyes when you see that the soft cheerful man had evil intent engraved into his eyes.

You clicked your tongue at your realization. You tried going on a fighting stance as you wobbly stood up. He laughed at your attempt.

He did something to your food, it's obvious.

"Do you know how much you intrigued me? Your beauty is like no other" He said taking small steps towards me.

"Oh, I know I'm beautiful, but, are you?" You retorted back at him. He was still amused, "I like a feisty woman" You were disgusted.

"You were becoming boring to me but you showed your sweet side as if you already trusted me!" He said mocking you.

"It's because I did trust you. At Least, when your façade was up" you scoffed.

He lunged forward you pinning you to the bed that was once behind you. You struggled to break free. You attempted to kick him but to no avail, he pinned your legs with his knees.

"I'll enjoy breaking you" He said smelling my neck, "You smell like a field of flowers, how intoxicating" he licked your neck, closing your eyes in resistance.

Tears was forming on the corner of your eyes. You were still struggling to break free but you were not strong enough. He was now planning on leaving mark at your neck when the words you mumbled fazed him.

"V-vangeance..." you said weakly.

The thing that Captain Vangeance gave you was a transmitter. It can be used for audio transmission, mostly when there's an emergency.

You were lucky enough to have hit a button sending him a signal. He heard you call out his name and felt unknown rage at how vulnerable you sound.

You were the woman who saved him from fatal damage and hearing you like this, sent him emotions he had never felt. Vangeance immediately found Langris.

"Get me to the Grey Household, now." Langris was caught by surprise. The captain's considerate voice with his amiable smile was replaced by an eye piercing captain with sternness.

He broke into the household and saw a horrid scene he never thought he would see on a household as noble as the Grey household.

He saw her, (Y/n), weakly pinned on the bed by the heir of the Grey family. He hastily used his magic to immobilize Liam, immediately carrying (Y/n) bridal style. Captain Vangeance took you far away, somewhere more secluded and safe.

Both of you were up in a hill, bellow a tree and it was your favourite time of the day, the sunset. You clutched onto your captain's robe, hiding your vulnerable state from him.

"You called for my name, didn't you?" He asked, teasingly, lighting up the atmosphere.

You immediately felt heat on your face and you pushed him away, looking to the opposite side. He chuckled at your adorable response.

"I d-did n-not!" You said embarrassed.

"I wouldn't have appeared if you didn't" he teased further earning a much more crimson shade on your face.

"Then, look at me in the eyes and tell me that you didn't" He demanded still smiling. You sometimes want to wipe away that smile off his face, it was infuriating you at the moment.

You suddenly looked at him in the eyes which stunned him. You parted your lips to say something but no words came out. You looked away once more.

"Maybe I did ... " The Masked Captain looked at you with wide eyes, not expecting you to give in to his teasing.

He smiled looking at the birds, he absolutely loved them. They were his friends when he was alone, singing to him when he felt sad.

He suddenly hears a voice humming a lovely tune. He had realized that you were like a bird who kept him company even if it was just a short while.

Both of them had always bumped into each other. Maybe he could finally rely on you as a friend. He looked at your figure and was ready to say something.

"I really appreciate-" his voice suddenly become inaudible from the massive fireworks. (Y/n) looked at him with confusion, not hearing what he said afterwards.

Vangeance shook his head "no" as if he was implying to not mind what he said. He enjoyed the fireworks while sitting down next to you. He found a sudden weight on his shoulder .

There you were, peacefully sleeping.

He took you back at the base and placed you into your bed. He left you without saying a word.

You mumbled in your sleep, though it was too late for the Captain to hear .

"Arigatou for saving me ... Captain"
