Captain Vangeance woke up in the comfort of his bed . He didn't recall what happened yesterday but he did remember seeing a glimpse of you .
His head suddenly throbbed in pain but he still stood up , finding his way to his office . He has a LOT of work to do and he doesn't want any disruptions from anyone .
He opened the door to his office and saw your serene figure who was sleeping on his desk . As much as he loves you in secret , he thought you were a nuisance.
"(Y/n) . Wake up" He said , shaking you awake . You immediately woke up and saw a stern looking captain .
'Oh , he's sober now. I'm dead , aren't I?' you thought .
"I'm sorry for yesterday captain , it seems like I added something incorrect on your coffee and didn't realize it" you explained , covering up the girl who casted the spell .
"I appreciate your kindness but now isn't the time to fool around . The squad's success rate dropped because of certain issues the kingdom is facing" he explained , quite annoyed .
"I see , shall I get you medicine?" You asked , truthfully concerned .
"No . I'd appreciate it more if you would leave me to finish my duties first . I don't want to go to extra measures but your behaviour might lead you to transfer squads" He stated looking at you with all seriousness .
You felt your heart shatter .
Transfer squads...?
'Did he really considered to transfer me to other squads?
You didn't want to anger your captain anymore so you saluted and formally left him . The feeling didn't sit right to him and he somewhat felt as if he did the wrong thing .
After all , you were just trying to help.
He chose to didn't mind you and immediately started on doing his paperwork . He found it odd that these papers were organized , he could finish these in no time .
He suddenly remembered your presence , sleeping on the desk . He massaged the temples of his eyes and realized that he made a mistake for scolding you , mercilessly .

You were infront of the Wizard King , tension filled the air . He had summoned you because of something 'Important' .
"(Y/n) , you see ... Your mother's death had greatly suffered the (L/n)'s . They have no more successor but you . Today you'll be escorted to the (L/n)'s household and it's up to you to choose your future" He explained with a grim expression .
You've wanted to quit the Magic Knights once , there's no guarantee if you will do it again . This is your chance to finally leave with a good reason . Most successors doesn't join the Magic Knights but there are a few exceptions.
"I see , I'll be on my way then" You said , saluting to the man who watched you grew up .
