Kamui Woods (Shinji Nishiya) x reader

chapter 1.

An: Hello to everyone reading this story. Before we begin I'll explain a couple of things about the reader (you).

So your quirk is lava whip. Basically you can create whips made out of lava that come out from your wrists. You can also control their temperature.

You are a new hero and don't have an agency. You are searching for one though.

You are about 27 years old and the only reason you are now pursuing your hero career is because of some family reasons that you'll find out about later on in the story.

There will be swearing. Maybe some mature content? I don't know tell me if you want a lemon

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Oh and your costume can be of your choice but you have a simple mask of your (f/c) and a little belt with first aid supplies.

Oh! And I'm basing his appearance on that drawing. If you know the artist please tell me their name so I can credit them please :)

The sun was blinding my eyes as I jumped on the roofs of the buildings chasing the two villains that had robbed the bank. I could see them just a few roofs away but I wasn't fast enough to get to them. I looked around me trying to find a lamp post or some kind of thing that I would be able to use as a pillar to swing from. Thankfully I was lucky enough to find one. Without a second thought I created a whip and swung from the lamppost landing just a few feet away from the villains. One of them turned around in an attempt to attack me but quickly tied his hands with my whips and did the same to the other one. I took the whips and brought them to the ground tying them on the base of a road sign when out of nowhere a gigantic villain appeared.

He was reaching the third floor of the building and appeared to have some sort of metal quirk. I got into position when someone pushed me away. I turned only to see the one and only Kamui Woods. Behind him were some other pros. "Step back sweetheart, leave this to the real heroes." I was SHOOK. I could not believe that he seriously said that to me. He turned back and started walking away. Bitch what?! There was no way I would stay back and do nothing when I was the first one to track the villains and capture them. This was my mission. I once again got into position and ran up to the giant ignoring the surprised faces of the other heroes. I hung a whip around his waist and started running and jumping creating some sort of cage.annoyed the villain tried shaking me off and for a small second i almost lost my grip on him. "GET AWAY FROM HIM KID!" "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" were heard along with some other things but I didn't let them affect me. I started heating the whips making the villain wince in pain.

I hadn't reached my full temperature when Kamui made a branch and pushed me away. I stopped heating the whips from my surprise which enabled the villain to regain his strength. "WILL YOU LET ME DO MY FREAKING JOB?" I screamed annoyed at the wood themed hero. "This isn't a job for newbies, so stop getting in our way and let us beat the criminal." I noticed that my whips were still around the giant so I started heating them, making every hero currently fighting the villain move away. The villain soon lost his consciousness. "How's that for a newbie?" I spoke back and moved towards the villain's shrieking body. "That was very good." Death Arms said to me while I was walking. "Oh! Thanks." I smiled and turned to him. "I haven't seen you around before, are you new?" he asked. "I am actually but I should really check on that villain so if you'll excuse me." I said moving away. He stopped me by taking my hand. "Don't worry about him, the other heroes can take care of it. I'll tell you what. Why don't we go have lunch somewhere and I'll help you get accustomed to the life of a hero." he proposed a hopeful look in his eyes. "I appreciate the offer but I'm not one to let that kind of things hanging." "Oh come on have some fun." he said once again when out of nowhere Kamui entered the conversation. "I'm afraid that won't be necessary Death Arms. She already seems to be a more than capable hero." he looked at me with those cold eyes and I just nodded turning away from them and heading towards the villain.

Shinji's pov_

A few days had passed since my interaction with that new hero. (h/n). Interesting name. I was currently in a convenience store buying a few groceries. She doesn't have a really powerful quirk but the way she uses it sure makes it strong. I could really use someone with a fire based quirk on my agency. When we come in contact with villains that have fire quirks we're basically useless. BAM! I got knocked out of my thoughts when two small children bumped on my feet. I silently looked down at them and saw they had little crystals coming out from them. They seemed to be twins. A girl and a boy. They had reddish brown hair with hazel greenish eyes. The small crystals were of a red orange hue. "We're very sorry for bumping into you sir." the girl spoke. I smiled. "I's ok!" I reassured the two petting their heads. "Where are your parents?" I was concerned that they were alone when all of a sudden a female voice was audible. "Kids! Why didn't you tell me where you were going? I was worried sick!" she said leaning down to the kids height hugging them. "We're sorry." they said at the same time. "It's ok.. Just tell me if you leave next time ok?" they nodded and she hugged them once again.

I cleared my throat, catching her attention. She turned and looked at me with the most mesmerizing (e/c) eyes I had ever seen. I felt my face redden by her beauty. "Y-You dropped this." she got up and took the box of cereal from my hands placing it back on her cart. "Thank you ..." "Shinji." i said quickly. "(l/n), nice to meet you." she smiled. Taking the boys arm in hers as he held onto his sister's arm. We stood there looking at each other. "Your hat is weird." said the boy making (l/n)'s eyes widen. "Zuko! That wasn't kind of you!" the beautiful woman said to the boy as the girl chuckled. "I'm sorry Mr. Weird hat." Zuko said making me laugh. "I'm so sorry." (l/n) said as she covered her face with her hand. "It's alright. My hat is kinda funny anyways." I said looking at Zuko. "If you say so. However we must finish with our shopping. It was nice talking to you." she smiled as she motioned for the children to move with her. "Can't Mr. Weird hat come with us?" the young girl said looking at (l/n) hopefully. "He can if he wants to." the woman said looking at me with a smile.

"Thank you again for helping me with the bags." (l/n) said. "It was nothing." I smiled at her cuteness. All the while we talked I saw that she had a fire inside her that was just waiting to be relished and it did at times. She was just perfect. I wanted to ask her out but she had children apparently which means she probably is married. They don't look like her though. You know what fuck it. "Would you maybe wanna have dinner some time?" I asked once she had put the children in the car. She blushed. "Here's my number. Call me." she said handing me a small piece of paper. I nodded as she got in the car herself. "Bye Mr. Weird hat!" yelled the twins as the car drove away.

I HAVE A DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well not exactly but still! I'm so excited! Suddenly an explosion was audible. "Kids stay in the car! Shuri!" i said to the small gil. "You're in charge." and after that I quickly took my costume and found an alleyway to change in...
