Chapter 8: Coronation

No one's pov:

It was the day of the Coronation and everybody was celebrating as Bjorn was riding a horse alongside Isa as she waved at the crowd and he turned to Isa and spoke. "I haven't seen this many people celebrating for crowning a king."

"This is a big deal for Auradon," said Isa.

Bjorn saw Isa's dragon Dawn flying above them for the coronation. He handed Isa his ring and she smiled. "You're so sweet," she said.

Bjorn nodded as he got off the horse and so did Isa and they walked to the Cathedral. Bjorn saw Ben and Mal and his parents. "King Adam," he said as he took out his sword and knee in front of the beast and presented his sword to the king. Everyone was surprised.

"I am sorry for what happened yesterday.I just wanted you to know I only asked one request that you help me take back the throne of Geatland."

King Adam looked at Bjorn and he looked at Ben who nodded and King Adam looked at Bjorn and spoke "It's a big request and Ben will have to make that decision but you will be a great king to your people."

Bjorn nodded as they walked into the Cathedral and they took their seats for Coronation. Ben walked down the path as the Fairy Godmother was about to bless him with it. Suddenly Jane grabs the wand trying to make her beautiful but blasts a beam out and hits the barrier. Bjorn grabbed the wand as the VKs went to him as everyone surrounded him.

Isa's pov

I saw Evie, Carlos, and Jay running towards Bjorn as Mal just stood behind him. I asked him to hand me the wand but he just told me to stand back. I asked him again, he said the same thing. Audrey wanted to point out that she was right but Mal stopped her. Evie, Carlos, and Jay ran towards them, I saw Vanessa making her way over to me and Ben. "Let's go. Revenge time," said Jay.

Bjorn was conflicted by everything as Ben tried to talk Mal as I tried to talk to Bjorn.

Ben: "You really want to do this?"

Mal: "We have no choice, Ben! Our parents..."

Vanessa then shouted out No! She turned to the VKs and spoke.

Vanessa: "No! They already made the choice and if you guys succeed, Auradon will just take revenge on the villains and we will be right where you started."

Bjorn: "She is right. This is just an endless cycle of revenge and I don't want to be a part of it. The cycle ends here we must be better than this."

Isa: Mal, this isn't your mother's choice. This is yours."

Mal: "I think I want to be good."

Ben: "You are good."

Mal: "How do you know that?!"

Ben: "Because... Because I'm listening to my heart."

Mal: "I want to listen to my heart, too."

Then Mal turned to the VKs and Bjorn.

Mal: "And my heart is telling me that we are not our parents. (Turns to Jay) I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. Tourney and victory pizza with the team makes you happy. (Turns to Carlos) And you, scratching Dude's belly makes you happy. Who would've thought? (Turns to Evie) Evie, you do not have to play dumb to get a guy. You are so smart. (Turns to Bjorn) And Bjorn, you having Isa in your life makes you happy. And I don't want to take over the world with evil. It doesn't make me happy. I want to go to school. And be with Ben. Because Ben makes me really happy. Us being friends makes me really happy. Not destroying things I choose good, you guys."

Jay: "I choose good, too."

Evie: I choose good."

Bjorn: "I choose good."

Carlos: "So, just to be clear, we don't have to be worried about how really mad our parents will be? Because they're gonna be really, really mad."

Isa: "Your parents can't reach you here."

Carlos: "Okay, then,. Good."

Then Vanessa, Ben, and I came over as Mal leaned on Ben's shoulder and I did the same with Bjorn.

Isa: "I told you revenge wasn't the answer."

Then a green mist broke through the glass and then Maleficent the Mistress of Evil appeared in all her evil glory.

Maleficent: "I'm Back!!!!"
