✨Qibli's POV✨

Me, Winter, Moon, Turtle And Kinkajou we're all laying in a cave lit by a small campfire. I was laying down with my head on the floor and my wings wrapped around my body with my tail coiled. 

I was looking at the fire and then my eyes drifted towards the others. Turtle was messing with his claws as he was sitting down. Moon was looking at the fire and sitting straight up. Kinkajou was laying down fast asleep. And Winter was in the far corner laying down asleep as well.

I couldn't help but admire how the firelight danced on his shiny, cold scales. I looked away when he started to move around more and looked back at the fire.

I was a long day for all of us. But we were glad everything was over. Or at least I hoped everything was over.

I couldn't help but remember everything that happened. Darkstalker was gone but...I was so full of worry and I didn't even know why.

I got up which caused Moon and Turtles attention to go to me. "Qibli?" Turtle said softly. "Qibli where are you going?" Moon called when I started walking out of the cave. "Just outside for some air..." I said not stopping to look back. "Alright..." I heard Moon reply.

When I was outside I sat on the ledge and looked up at the night sky. It was absolutely beautiful...the stars shined as bright as diamonds.

It's so beautiful at night...

I had never considered to watch the stars. I found no interest before I met my friends. I now found it to be extremely relaxing.

"Looking at the stars again huh?" I heard a calm voice say next to me. I was startled but when I turned I saw Winter sitting next to me. "Winter you scared me! Don't do that idiot!" I hissed and glared at him. "Oh come on Qibli. It wasn't that shocking." He said giving me a glare back. "Yes it is when it's completely silent!" I said looking away.

"You know I'm not the type to apologize Qibli so if your expecting an apology you aren't getting one" He said in his stupid voice. "Whatever!" I said rolling my eyes.

I felt worry and fear fill me again as I looked at the ground. "Hey...you ok?" Winter said looking at me with concerned eyes. "Y-Ya I'm fine I guess..." I said looking back at him.

"No you aren't. Qibli whats wrong." Winter said firmly. "Nothing I'm fine..." I couldn't help but deny my worry's. "Qibli tell me now!" He yelled loudly. "SHHH! your gonna get everyone out here if you don't lower your voice!" I yell whispered. "Then tell me!" He said still talking very loudly.

I groaned and said "Fine!". I looked at my talons as I told him "I'm just worried something bad will happen even though Darkstalker is gone...". "Qibli...that's what this is about?" He asked me taking my talon in his.

I felt his cold icy talon scales against my warm talons. I looked at him and then our talons. "Well ya..." I replied feeling unusual. Suddenly Winter pulled me into a hug and put his cold wings around me. "Nothing is going to happen Qibli." I heard him say as I felt a mix of emotions.

"Promise?" I asked looking up at him. His eyes met mine and he said "Promise.". I laid my head against his cold chest while he was still hugging me.

This isn't like Winter. Why is he being so kind? And to me of all dragons.

After the hug I looked at Winter and felt my face heat up. Was I embarrassed? What was going on? I'm not sure what I was feeling but it was strange.

"Goodnight Qibli." Winter said getting up and heading back into the cave. "Goodnight Winter..." I said as he walked away.

I laid down on the ledge and thought to myself.

What is this emotion.

It feels like...

Love...

But why would I like a boy? I like girls...

Whatever I'll just ignore it.

...

Is this fight over for good? Is there some dragon out there we should fear? Are we safe?

...

Will my promise be broken?...
