~Winter's POV~

I was up the earliest, The others were calmly sleeping. I looked around seeing everyone there sleeping expect for Qibli. I already knew were he was but I got up and walked outside the cave just to be sure.

And as I expected Qibli was laying sprawled out on the ledge. His wings were folded around himself.

Of course he didn't come sleep inside the cave. He's Qibli after all.

I ended up starring at him for a few moments deciding if I should wake him.

No I won't wake him. Besides he'll probably just yell at me anyways. And at this early I honestly don't feel like getting one of his lectures.

I headed back into the cave and waited for the others to wake up. I watched as the fire danced and made crackling sounds. "Winter?" I heard Moon's calm voice say. I looked over and saw Moon getting up. "Good morning Moon" I said as she walked over and sat next to me.

"Why are you up so early?" She asked me not taking her attention away. "Just didn't feel like sleeping in much." I responded not really knowing why I woke up so early.

"Alright well, good morning to you too!" She said with a smile. I heard a yawn come from Turtle and I looked over at him. He was tossing and turning, I assumed he was going to wake up pretty soon.

And as I expected Turtle slowly opened his eyes and sat up. His eyes went from Kinkajou to Me and then to Moon. "Good *yawn* morning guys." He said drowsily. "Good morning" "Good morning!" Me and Moon said at the same time.

Turtle looked around as if he was looking for something. "Where's Qibli?" He asked looking at the spot Qibli was last night. "He's still outside on the ledge." I said looking at the fire again for a few seconds. "He fell asleep there?" Moon asked looking curious. "Yes" I said turning my head to look at her.

"Oh" She said looking out at the ledge. "Boo!" Kinkajou's small but happy voice broke the silence. She had jumped up and was trying to...scare? Us. She started giggling and asked "did I scare you guys?!". "Well you certainly startled me!" Moon said laughing a bit. "Well I guess so..." Turtle acted a bit shy with the question. "No you didn't scare me." I said noticing her eyes went to me expecting my answer.

"Aww come on! Lighten up Winter! You look so gloomy!" Kinkajou whined. "I am not gloomy!" I said almost glaring. "Someone's in denial" Kinkajou teased making Turtle and Moon laugh.

"Shut up!" I hissed and flared my wings out but making sure I didn't accidentally hit anybody with them. "Guys?...whats *yawn* what's going on in here?" Qibli's tired voice asked quietly.

We all looked at the entrance.

Qibli was standing there with a very very tired expression. His eyes were so dull due to lack of sleep. His face looked not exactly serious but more tired.

"Good morning Qibli!" Kinkajou said running up and hugging him. "Good morning!" Turtle said giving him a smile. "Morning Qibli!" Moon said looking at him. "Good morning Qibli" I said looking at him.

"Good morning idiot" he gave me a teasing smile. "Oh shut up!" I said rolling my eyes at him. He then looked at Moon and then Turtle. "So any plans for today guys?" He asked us. "Well I mean I guess we could all go hunting later!" Moon suggested. "Sounds great I'm starving!" Kinkajou said looking all around the cave and being hyper.

"Or if your that hungry we could go now-" Moon started saying but was cut off by Kinkajou yelling "OK LETS GO!" And flying out of the cave. "KINKAJOU! WAIT!" Moon said getting up and following after her. Turtle got up and walked outside. I got up to follow and Qibli was...waiting for me?

Hm that's new.

As me and Qibli Both got outside we noticed that everyone else was already in the sky and swooping down onto land to catch prey. Qibli opened his wings and started flying in the sky. He looked at me and hesitated "you coming?". "Mhm." I opened my wings and started flying next to him.

Qibli and I both went separate directions to hunt so I wasn't really able to pay attention to him. After what felt like hours everyone returned to a spot in the sky. "Alright so- Hey Guys...wheres Qibli?" Moon asked looking around.

What does she mean-

I looked around for Qibli but couldn't spot him. "I don't know" "I'm not sure" Kinkajou and Turtle replied. "Last time I saw him he went that way" I said pointing a claw to the direction he had went.

"Ok well-"

"Let me go."

"Huh?"

"Someone has to go find Qibli."

"Winter?...by yourself? What if you need our help?"

"I'll be fine Moon."

"Alright..."

I flew in the direction Qibli went and landed into the forest. I hadn't seen Qibli in the sky and he wouldn't have gone that far. I walked around the forest and kept my guard up. I was alert in case he was hurt or anyone besides him was here.

Suddenly I arrived in a small little clearing in the forest. In the middle of this clearing however...

Was a dragon...

Covered...

In...

Red...

Blood...
