Evie's POV
I was doing a fitting for Chad's cape as he admired himself in the mirror. "What about peacock feathers? Yeah, I bet that nobody is going to have that at Cotillion."
I sighed. "Chad, when I look at you all I can think of is King and fake fur."
Chad smiled. "Oh."
I nodded. "Fake fur says it all."
"Loud and clear." Doug added.
Jay started to pass by the room when he saw Chad and stopped. "Amphitheater in five."
"Why did coach make him captain instead of me? I'm obviously better." Chad scoffed before striking a pose and admiring himself in the mirror. "King Chad, though. Don't mind the sound of that. You know who else would like that?."
"Who?" I asked, faking interest.
Chad smiled. "Audrey."
I nodded, playing along. "She would."
Jay popped his head back in the room. "Chad lets go!"
"I'm coming!" Chad huffed, stepping off the platform and making his way out of the room. I grabbed the cape off his shoulders before he got through the door and sighed.
I turned to Doug as we said the same phrase. "Not a lot there there."
We shared a laugh as I cleaned up. "Someone is obviously having trouble dealing with his break up with Audrey."
"Yeah, I'm glad Ben broke up with her though. Audrey is toxic and the way she treats you guys is not cool." Doug replied before turning his computer towards me. Also, I've been doing the numbers."
I walked over to get a better look. "Yeah?"
Doug began to type. "After we collect from all the girls for their gowns and Chad's cape…."
Doug hit a few buttons and showed me the total. I was surprised by the amount. "Wow, no wonder people work. What am I gonna do with all this money?"
Doug tapped a few more keys. "I think in the next few years you could buy that castle you always wanted. That way you wouldn't need a prince."
I placed my hand on top of his and smiled. "You're right. I don't. Because I have you."
Vlad's Pov
I was looking for Mal because I had a surprise for her. I found Mal at her locker and smiled as I approached. "Hi Mal."
Mal's Pov
I jumped and turned to see Vlad. "Hi Vlad."
Vlad smiled. "I have a little surprise for you."
My eyes widened. "Again? Wow, that's like everyday now."
"That's every other day, the even days, because you are even more perfect than I thought."
I held back rolling my eyes. "That's me, always perfect."
Vlad sighed. "Please let me spoil you my love. I know you didn't have much growing up."
I shrugged. "We managed."
"Didn't you donate that to the museum?" Vlad questioned, pointing into my locker.
I realized that he was talking about my spellbook and closed my locker immediately. " Is that still there? Um…. I have to get to class."
Vlad stopped me and guided me down the hall. "Come with me first my love."
I gasped when I saw my new purple Vespa and Vlad smiled. "Do you like it?"
